"ugh" I groaned while trying to play my new guitar. I've been trying to ignore Emma's tears for a while now, but they just keep falling. while I was helping build the house I heard them, the meeting with the alphas, the ride back and even this morning but they just keep getting louder and louder and its starting to get really annoying cause she has the pup to make her feel better but for whatever reason his not doing his job

"Asher" Cora called me while I was walking down the hallway

"what" I sighed

"it's just that it was wondering when are you gonna do your announcement" she asked

"my what?"

"your announcement, you know like introductions and stuff like that" she explained

"I did all that the first day" I reminded her

"really, you going with that?" she asked as we got to my kitchen and I took out an apple

"mhm" was all I told her

"I get that you're doing want you want, but that speech was a little...cold" she told me

"I'm always cold" I deadpanned just as more cannon fire went off

"whatever you are don't have mates do they?" she asked

"no" I answered and she sighed

"so we're gonna go with the first introduction" she said as I walked into the elevator to head downstairs

"well at least people like what you've done" she sighed while we went down

".........why is the elevator music crap?" I asked listening to it

"some of the moms complained about how Hollywood undead wasn't very child friendly" she told me and I sighed rubbing my face just as more cannon fire went off

"fine, you're in charge till I get back" I said while stepping out of the elevator and someone of the pack members turned to me looking shocked

"what?" she asked

"I don't like repeating myself Cora" I said making my way through the crowd

"where are you going?" some of the people started asking me till I gave them a look

"I got personal business that needs attending, till I return Cora is in charge" I told them

'Asher I'm not-' she started through the link

'you said you wanted to try being beta show me why I should make it official' I told her while the people tried pestering me and she took a deep breath

"while Asher is away I'm gonna be acting alpha since I'm beta. it won't be long" she declared

'right?' she asked

'sure' I said before heading to my bike

'Asher did I just hear your leaving" ross asked me through the link

'you did' I confirmed

'where are you going? you're supposed to be-' he started

'I know what I am I have something to attend to that's it. Cora is in charge while I'm away, you don't have a positon but you were an alpha watch her and tell me how she does' I told him as I started to ride away
