2023 Opinion
I have mixed feelings about this, and I definitely don't ship it as much as I used to. I do think they'd be emotionally and sexually compatible, as well as intellectually as I imagine Pansy to be quite smart. Plus, it works really well with Drarry and Blinny. However, I do agree that the oppressed x oppressor trope can be terrible, and unfortunately, this is full of it. That being said, it's more nuanced than that in this case. Pansy also didn't hurt Hermione beyond insults and slurs, which is awful but very commonplace (sadly). Most people of an oppressed group do experience this at some point, me included. It's really up to Hermione whether or not she forgives her. They are adorable and could work under specific circumstances. I still prefer others ships, though. Basically, I really don't know.
