2023 opinion
Eh. I like some of the fanfictions (they really are well-written) but honestly, I don't see them together. Besides, unlike Drarry, their power is not at all balanced. Draco was always seen as "above" her in society and in power, and that's just not equal enough for a relationship. Even if he gets past his prejudice, it would be hard to keep that away from a relationship with a Muggleborn. It would be way too traumatic for Hermione — not only did he bully her for years, he was partially responsible for the war and the torture she suffered at the hands of his aunt, Bellatrix. She's mature enough to forgive him (though she does hold quite a grudge) but I highly doubt she would ever get with him. It'd just be too painful, and she'd always be waiting for him to turn on her again.
