I parked inside the student parking lot of Elson High. The school is rundown. The walls are brick and cold. The parking lot was filled with cars and students lingered around outside of school smoking. There isn't much more to say about the school. The school was just shitty that plain and simple. I got out of the car and put my long light brown hair into a tight bun, letting to pieces of hair fall at the front sides of my face. I walked inside the school through its opened hallways and looked down shyly as I walked through the crowded hall to my locker. The lockers are a pale grey with its paint chipping off. They also have random carvings from either past owners or resent owners' friends or enemies.
Blocking my way from my locker stood a skinny, weak looking guy that stood about 5'11 with straight dark brown hair with black streaks covering one of his deep dark green eyes. He was wearing a black 'Aerosmith' t-shirt, dark skinny jeans, a chain hanging from his pants, and worn out converse.
"Hey Alexandra!" he said with a smile once I was in front of him.
"Hey Travis." I said in a quiet shy voice. For some reason at school I can't seem to get my voice or confidence that I usually have. Which frustrates me!
"What's up? Why so sad?" he asked as he stepped away from my locker to place his arm on my shoulders.
I gave him a small smile. "It's nothing. I just had trouble sleeping and woke up tired." Technically not a lie since I did have trouble sleeping due to trouble breathing and I woke up pretty tired.
I opened my locker and got all the books I needed. I would have to hold them since my backpack was in my room. I didn't have much time to get it this morning.
We were about to walk out to the courtyard since there was only five minutes left until the bell rang, when three big jock dudes walked up to us. Laughing they pushed all my books to the ground and one of them pushed Travis against the lockers and pressed his forearm on Travis's neck.
"Look! The faggot has finally got a friend!" Carson, the asshole pressing his forearm on Travis's neck teased before he looked at me, "And his only friend is none other than the quiet whore! You know, I heard that you're so fucking poor that you let people pay you for your 'services'." He laughed loudly as his friend touched my cheek. I instantly turned away from his sleazy touch. His fingers felt disgusting against my skin.
How can people just go around and say those kinds of things? They don't know the people who they harshly insult and gossip about creating bigger and bigger lies that can destroy people's lives. I don't really care about what they say about me because I know it's not true. I don't need to prove myself to anyone. The people who I care about knowing the truth know those things aren't true, but it still doesn't give them the right to go off telling people random shit because they have nothing better to do! I wish I was Alex Reed right now, street racer, who can defend herself and tell these guys were to stick their nasty lies, but I can't. My voice is like stuck in my throat with no way out. At school I was Alexandra Reed weak and quiet. I hate being weak, because I know that I truly aren't, but my strength won't come out during school. I wan't to be me strong self!
Right then a girl that stood about 5'7 with dark brown hair and red highlights and deep dark green eyes that matched Travis's perfectly, appeared behind Carson and his friends. She was wearing a Bon Jovi t-shirt, black ripped skinny jeans, high-tops, and a chain hanging from her jeans.
"I suggest you let him go and get the hell away from them." she said calmly, yet firm.
Carson laughed loudly, showing that he had no intentions of listening to the girl. He let go off Travis and turned around to face her.
"Tiana, why don't you just mind your own business?" Carson said with a scowl.
"Why don't you go fuck yourself and stop trying to force my brother to fuck you? He don't roll that way dude." Tiana smirked while Travis laughed and Carson's friends snickered. Tiana was one to always voice her thoughts. She will always defend her brother to end; and vise-verse.
