I parked the motorcycle in front of Titi's house and hopped off before helping Jaiden off. I was about to turn around to knock the door when Jaiden stopped me. I thought something had happened to her and began asking her questions frantically. She shook her head no.

"Y-your neck is really red. I just... I just thought you might want to cover it before you knock on the door." she replied in a small quivering voice as she looked down at her feet.

I hugged her tightly and whispered, "I'm sorry."

I felt aweful that she had to see that. She luckily hasn't been chocked yet by our father and now that she saw my neck I knew she would expect it. I let in a shaky breath. I won't ever let him choke her! Was all I thought before zipping up my leather jacket all the way up covering my neck fully.

I put her hand in mine and she gave me a tight squeeze. I could tell she was nervous, but I'm not quite sure if it's because she doesn't know where we are or because she was already nervous about one day being choked.

I looked down at her honey colored eyes and gave her a small loving smile and walked up to the front door. I knocked on the door three times before Titi opened the door. He smiled that big happy smile he always had before he noticed the little girl beside me. He looked at me with a baffled look as he looked between me and the little girl.

"She isn't yours right? Because if she is I'm killing the bastard who did this to you after killing you for not telling me!" he said shocked. He could be such a girl sometimes. That's when he wasn't being a player, of course.

I shook my head and laughed a little, "No, she isn't mine. She's my little sister." He looked relieved and his happy-go-lucky smile returned. "Titi, I need you to do me a huge favor." I said my voice sounding a bit pleading.

He backed up a little before opening the screen door. "Anything for you Alex." He said looking directly into my eyes smiling.

I smiled big and walked in with Jaiden gripping my hand tightly. She didn't trust people easily which resulted in her not having any friends at school. Some of the kids made fun of her for being 'such a loner' as I heard some kids say one day when I picked her up from school. Anger boiled through me when I heard them say that. I mean yeah some kids in my school said the same things about me and much worse, but I didn't give a rat's ass about that, I cared about my sister. They have no right in judging her, they have no idea what she goes through everyday of her life. I breathed in deeply to calm myself down.

I bent down slightly to whisper in her ear, "Jaiden, you don't need to worry. Titi is my bestest friend in the whole world. You can trust him. He's cool. Just don't tell him that." She laughed a little and looked directly into my eyes and smiled. Her smile reached her eyes and they glisten with happiness. My heart melted seeing her like that. She almost never gets that smile that reaches her eyes fully. I straightened at the sound of Titi's voice behind me.

"Ok, first thing," he looked at me seriously which made me stiffen a little thinking he noticed my red neck. "What is this precious little girl's name?" he asked smiling down at her. He is such a sweet guy. I don't know what I would do if he wasn't my bestest friend.

"I'm Jaiden." Jaiden told him shyly looking at him with those big honey colored eyes that make you want to melt of how sweet she looks.

"I'm Titi, nice to meet you Jaiden." he said extending his hand out for her to shake. She looked at me and shook his hand shyly.

"So what I can do for you two beautiful girls?" he asked smiling like an idiot.

"Um... I was wondering if you could please take care of Jaiden while I go to school." I asked him, giving him a soft smile.
