“Who the hell are you?” Jason asked standing up from his chair scowling at the figure standing infuriated beside me.
“Who the f*ck are you?” The pissed off deep voice yelled at Jason pushing him on his chest.
Jason was getting pissed quickly. He clenched his jaw, his fists so tight his knuckles turned white, and he had those expressionless eyes that could make anyone cower away from fear.
I knew then it was my time to interfere before a full on fight breaks out in an ice cream shop filled with families, and Jaiden and Andy.
I pushed my chair out and planted my combat-booted feet firmly on the ground. I placed my hands on my knees grunting in annoyance before standing up and standing between the two.
“Need I remind you dumb-asses that there are children present?” I asked with authority and a hint of annoyance.
As if I didn’t have enough problems everywhere else now these two are seconds away from throwing a fist. I know I’m not the only one with problems, but I really don’t need this right now. Plus I don’t need my sister seeing any more violence than she already has and has experienced.
“What do you want Gabe?” I asked him my voice and face just showing how tired I was.
I wasn’t tired like sleep tired… Well actually I don’t sleep very well so yes I am a bit sleep deprived, but what I meant was I was just tired of all this shit. I know everyone goes through shit in life I’m not saying I’m special, but I just want this all to be over…
“Really?! That’s how you greet your boyfriend?” Gabe asked angry as hell.
“This asshole is your boyfriend?” Jason asked incredulously.
“Yeah who the f*ck is this prick?” Gabe asked through gritted teeth.
“Enough! Both of you just shut the hell up!” I yelled exasperated. “Jason, this is none of your business and to answer your moronic question, yes he’s my boyfriend.” I stated looking at Jason, and then I turned to face a smirking Gabe. “And Gabe, I’m pissed off at you right now. I haven’t forgiven you for how acted and what you said at the race. I’m not some stupid, naïve, little girl that will do anything you say. I’m my own damn person and I deserve to be treated right.” I looked at each of them in the eyes and screamed, “Now both of you piss off!”
Of course by now everyone was looking at us. Parents were looking at us with disapproval, their arms covering their children’s ears. Jaiden shied away, cowering in her seat while Andy looked about ready to pounce on Gabe if he dared mess with his older brother.
I sighed and rubbed my face with my hands. I slid my hands down my face and over my mouth and cupped my mouth and nose, my palms almost planted together, but my mouth and nose were in between my hands so only fingers touched the other hand’s fingers.
I dropped my hands and my shoulders slouched. “Jai, Andy go wait in the car.” I ordered them in a tired, soft voice.
