"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait!" I yelled running closer to them.
Why am I helping him? I hate when someone older and bigger beats the little guy... Yep that's what I'm going for.
The guy brought his fist down, but didn't let go off Jason. Jason was looking at me like I was crazy and with a bit of worry. The huge guy looked over at me and gave me a 'what the f*ck, b*tch?' look.
"Who the f*ck are you?" The huge guy asked angrily.
I had a bored look on my face. I crossed my arms over my chest. I seemed confident, but not cocky. That would just piss him off way more.
"What the f*ck are you doing here?" Jason asked me.
I ignored him completely. I didn't even glance his way. I kept my gaze with the huge guy. "What's your name?" I asked him.
He scowls. "Why you wanna know?"
I remained quiet, patiently waiting for his answer, my face blank.
The huge guy began fidgeting a bit. He looked away from me. "Mark." He mumbled begrudgingly.
"Mark, let's make a deal." I said.
"What deal?"
I thought for a moment what can I offer him? I know exactly what!
I smirked. "Let me guess, you like NASCAR races right?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "Yeah." He said unsure.
"I have two tickets for tonight's race. They're yours if you leave him alone."
Mark looked as if he was weighing up the options. It seemed like he was about to deny, but I cut him off.
"At least don't go after him at school." I reasoned.
Mark looked at Jason for a few minutes before dropping him harshly on the ground. Jason landed on his knees and I'm pretty sure they are bruised if not bloody.
Mark looked at me expectantly.
I nodded and reached into my back pocket. I handed him the tickets.
I was going to offer those tickets to Travis and Tiana, but no, for some reason I used them to help this creep. Damn my niceness!
"Are they legit? If they aren't I'm coming back after you both!" Mark warned.
"They are legit. Good seats too." I said impassively.
He gave a firm nod and walked away, but not before saying, "This isn't over Jason!"
Jason stood up from the ground straightening his shirt and dusting off his jeans. He looked at me. I held his gaze for a few second before turning and walking away.
I walked all the way to my locker ignoring him calling my name. I put in my combination and pulled out my books.
"Alex!" Jason yelled before he reached me.
I tried walking away but he blocked my way by caging me with his arms on each side of my head and his body a little too close for my liking, but not as close as when we were in the closet.
"What happened to you?" He asked brushing a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Got mugged." I replied nonchalantly.
It was silent between us for a minute or so.
"You didn't go to my party." He said, his warm breath tickling my face.
I rolled my eyes. Is he f*cking serious?! I just saved his sorry ass from getting beat to a pulp and he brings his party up?!
"Not that it's any of your damn business, but I was busy." I said irritation clear in my voice.
"With what?" He asked.
Who the f*ck does he think he is?
"With my boyfriend." I said sightly smirking.
Not completely false, I mean I did see him last night at the race... Douche bag!
"You don't have a boyfriend." He replies confidently.
"Yeah, I do actually."
"What's his name?" He asked eying me closely.
"Gabe Chavez." I replied not skipping a beat.
"No one here is named that."
"He never went here and he dropped out of school."
He backed up seeming to finally believe me. His stormy grey eyes clouded with disappointment.
After that he walked away not looking back.

"Sorry!" I mumbled hurriedly as I pushed through the crowed of students filling the hallways.
I needed to get to Jerry ASAP! We need to do a test drive before the race and I'm already half an hour late.
These damn people just won't move!
Classes were uneventful. Most people and teachers didn't notice my face because I kept my head looking down at the desk allowing my honey hair to cascade over my face to cover my face from others. The ones who did manage to see I told them I got mugged, which they believed due to the neighborhood we live in. It's not as bad as where the street races are and where Titi lives, but it's pretty bad.
I raced to my car, turned the soothing roar of the engine, and sped to the race track.
As soon as I parked my shitty ass car I grabbed by bag with my race clothes and ran to the bathroom and to the last stall there which has an 'OUT OF ORDER' sign.
I slid into the stall and changed to turn from Alex to Reed. A girl to a guy.
I hid the bag in the stall and slipped out. I looked at myself in the mirror inspecting the cuts and wounds on my face. I looked horrible. I was still in pain. That bastard!
I sucked in a deep breathe and pinned my hair up and slipped my helmet on.
I opened the bathroom door and walked out.
"Reed?" A deep manly voice asked.
I froze. I knew that voice very well. Damn I hope he doesn't know who I really am.----------Author's Note----------
