“Get in!” I ordered him letting go of his hand and running around to my side of the car.
I got in and he did the same. As soon as the doors were closed, I turned my car on and sped out of there not even bothering to turn the radio on.
“Alex! Slow the f*ck down! This is a shitty car it can’t possibly take this speed!” Jason screamed at me holding onto whatever he could for the dear life of him.
“Hey, don’t insult my shitty ass car! Only I can insult it and have faith in this car. It’s been through so much yet it still runs like a beast.” I stated laughing.
“Sure! If we die, I’ll haunt you!” Jason exclaimed.
“Ok, you do that.” I laughed.
I have to admit this is the fastest I’ve gone in this car. I don’t even fully believe it can take this much speed, but oh well I seriously doubt we would die.
“Can you at least tell me where we’re going?” He asked a little breathlessly.
I shook my head. “Not telling you. It’s a surprise.” I said smirking at him.
“So, is this like a date?” He asked cheekily.
I glanced at him from the corner of my eye. Then I focused back on the road and started laughing.
“Yeah, you wish. All I want to do is show you, that drugs don’t have to be the answer to your problems. I don’t do drugs and I deal with my problems.” I said shrugging.
“What kind of problems?” He asked seeming to now be distracted by the speed.
I smirked. “That’s for me to know.”
“But, I’ve told you about me. I know barely anything about you.” He pointed out.
I sighed. “Jason, right now is not the time for you to know.”
He opened his mouth to complain, but I butted in before he could.
“But, I’ll promise you this. If you’re still here, I will tell you everything when the time’s right.” I whispered to him and didn’t even notice I had slowed down and was just around the corner from our destination. “We’re here.” I said as I parked.
I turned the engine off and turned to look at Jason. He was already looking at me with a serious expression. “Ok.” He said with a nod.
We got out of the car and I swear I heard him whisper, “I will always be here.”
But I couldn’t be sure because he whispered it very lowly and I didn’t want to ask him.
“So why exactly are we at a…mechanic’s shop?” Jason asked looking around the run-down place in curiosity.
