The second Aphmau made full seated contact with the ground, the woman began talking

At first, it was nothing too decipherable, an incoherent speech.

Her mumbles gradually became more clear and clarity shot through her words.

"I suppose introductions would be nice." The woman smiled. "What is your name?"

"Uhh, it's Jess, at least, that's my old nickname, my friends here typically call me Aphmau." Aphmau smiled nervously.

The woman tilted her head. "Very well then."

Silence ensured.

"Uhh, you gonna tell me your name? You know, like, exchange a name for another? That's how it works right-"

"My name was long ago lost in the chronicles of time." The woman's voice had gone silent, quiet like piddering rain. "I cannot recall the last time somebody said my name in the honest language."

"Oh...then what should I call you?" Aphmau offered a half-smile. "I'm kinda getting tired of calling you 'the woman' in my head.

"You can call me Irene." The lady hummed.

Aphmau blinked. "What."

"Irene." The woman repeated.

"As in..." Aphmau knit her eyebrows. "Lady Irene?!"

Irene's lip pulled into a thin, uneasy line. "Yes."

"This...this is just a dream, isn't it?" Aphmau shook her head. "Happening in my head."

"Of course it's happening inside your head. But why on earth should that mean it's not real?"

Aphmau's eyes shined. "Did you just quote Harry Potter?!"

"Yes." Irene's smug expression was all that took to make Aphmau giggle.

"But all references aside." Irene clapped, and a whoosh of air sent her hair spiraling upward.

Fluffy angel wings sprouted outward from Irene, and they stretched, seemingly growing in size.

Gasping, Aphmau watched as rings of rippling white rounded out around them and the entire floor transformed into a crystal clear terrain, below it was misty grayness.

"Woah..." said Aphmau, pressing her hands to the floor.

Ripples streaked from her hands, creating purple streaks of light to manifest and fade away as they dispersed away.

"This is so cool!"

"It's amazing, isn't it?" Irene marveled.

"Yeah!" Aphmau was back to being a child, amazed at everything she just saw.

"Now." Irene's voice lost its humor and Aphmau felt a shiver slice it's way up her back. "Please, we must discuss something."

Aphmau went silent.

"I understand things in your life have been hectic lately."

"That's an-"

"Understatement. Yes, I suppose it could be." Irene smiled. "But let's not dwell on that."
