Matron thought she'd seen everything.

But the living never ceases to amaze her in some day, do they?

It was a gift they had, life blessed them with a single chance, and they could do whatever they wanted with that chance.

And the life she was 'living' was being rather plentiful with surprises.

But now, stranded in the body of somebody she didn't know, this was a whole new experience.

She forgot how disorienting it was to transfer bounds.

At first, she couldn't move around, whoever she was with right now had too strong a will and was preventing her from fully awakening.

It took a while.

Too long for what she hoped for but when she was finally fully conscious, her first thought was to find out who she was with.

For a second she thought she was looking in a mirror.

Red hair and green eyes were perhaps a common trait these days.

Kiki.

A name came to her.

'Okay...so....Kiki.'

Who are you?

That startled her.

'Was Kiki talking to her?'

I can hear you.

'Well this was new.'

Who are you?

'Demanding now, eh?'

You're in my head.

'That's true.'

Seriously, who are you?

'This wasn't good, she needed to find Aphmau.'

'It was almost pathetic how lost she was without her.'

Aphmau? I think I know her!

'Think?'

I met her. Black hair, brown eyes, pretty short?

'...Who are you?'

Matron was positive she'd never encountered this girl before.

I asked first.

'I asked second.'

If I tell you my name, will you tell me yours?

The girl was compromising.

My name is Kiki.

A name couldn't hurt, could it?

'Matron.'

Huh. Like, Irene the Matron? Kinda weird.

That thought was so blunt it hit her like a brick.

What an ironic name.

And she took no offense from the last comment, she just couldn't find it in herself to be angry.

'Yes.'

Then again, I'm not really one talk, my name is Kiki after all!

...

Uhhh, so, why are you in my head?

Fear radiated like a pulse from her, and Matron wanted to just curl up and disappear.

Confronting people is hard.

'I don't know.'

Well that's vague.
