Matron ran to the building, her newly found body surging with her own energy.

Aphmau ran away from the building, her newly found anger controlling her like a puppet.

The sounds of screaming after only one of them. (You can probably guess who, the maniac shortie or the frantic redhead.)

(If you somehow thought the frantic redhead, you are very wrong.)

Aphmau recalled a very faint memory tugging in the back of her skull, and small, insistent tug.

A small flashback to highschool with one of the many less rememberable teachers who'd had a discussion on calming yourself.

Count to ten. 1, 2, 3, and so forth. Breathe in, breathe out, focus on something around you.

123456-

No, too fast.

One.

Ba-dunk.

Two.

Ba-dunk.

Three.

Ba-dunk.

Four.

Ba-dunk.

Five.

Ba-dunk.

A somewhat normal heartbeat.

"Ma'am? You alright?" A passing lifeguard questioned.

She offered him a grimace, finding no energy to waste in a fake smile. "I'm fine, sir."

He shrugged, and walked off, still shooting her concerned stares.

What was that?

She was generally a calm person, at least, she liked to think so.

But she hadn't lost her cool like that in forever, and even so, never as bad as this time.

To the extent where she had little control over her own body, because her own emotions were ruling herself out.

Is that weird?

It kinda is.

This process was taking emotional control to the next level.

Aphmau shivered.

Something was up another her, something she couldn't control.

That terrified her.

It was unpredictable, dangerous, it was-"

Focus.

She had a task? Right.

That's what she'd come here for, to get rid of him

A small part of her nudged that she'd ran off without her friends knowing where the heck she was going.

A small part of her whispered that she was doing the wrong thing.

A small part of her called to her, said that she shouldn't be doing it, it wouldn't work, it would never work-she never worked.

That small part of her was wrong, she was sure of it.

Since when had the small part of her ever been right?

...

Yikes...

That was a bit cruel.

Wherever was her sympathy?
