Aphmau's eyes fluttered open, and the first thing she did was ungracefully tumble off the bed.
"OWCH!" Her scream echoed, and she found herself trapped her her own burrito of blankets.
"Eeek!" Lucinda jumped upward, from a place she'd been dozing on, the chair. "Oh, oh my, you're awake!"
"Surprise...?" Aphmau winced as pain from her wound crunched down on her side.
"Lemme help you up." Lucinda dragged the soft blankets off (Blanket~pai nuuuu!) and helped her to sit upright in the bed.
"I'll tell the others you're awake." Lucinda said, and retreated from the room, flame-like hair flickering away.
That left Aphmau time to look to the clock placed on the bedside table.
It was 12:57 PM.
The curtain beckoned her forth, and she opened it up with a 'swish'.
Warm sunlight tickled her skin, causing a few rising itches as her eyes adjusted to the light.
She wasn't even able to catch a glimpse outside before the door slammed open.
"JESS!"
"GURLFRIEND!"
"APHMAU!"
"MY FRIEND!"
Crushed in the biggest group hug she'd been a part of yet.
Hands ruffled her already messy hair, and almost drowned her in body heat.
Needless to say otherwise, she was overjoyed.
Never before had she been this happy to wake up.
That is, until Matron's silence awakened her senses.
She gasped, and the group hug disbanded as one.
"Oh, sorry!" Katelyn chuckled. "Didn't mean to crush ya."
"No-no, it's fine." Then she blinked.
"KATELYN!"
"Initate bromantic hugs." Sky robotically moved to pat both Katelyn and Aphmau on the shoulders.
"You woke up!" Aphmau cried. "You really woke up!"
"Of course." Katelyn flashed a crooked smile. "I'm not ready to leave my life just yet. I've got too much to fight and live for."
"..."
"INSPIRATIONAL MOMENT RUINED!" Castor shouted, throwing a pillow at Aphmau.
She squealed, and ducked, letting it slap Sky in the face.
"Why you-"
"Alright! Alright, let's not kill eachother just yet." Jin laughed, brushing emo hair out of his face. (Get a haircut BOI- JK)
"Agreed." Aaron held up his hands in surrender before the pillow wars began. "Besides, I have a feeling we'll be paying for property damage we can't pay for."
"Who says?" Garroth shrugged.
"Okay, just because you come from a rich family doesn't mean we all do." Travis snorted. "Not all of us are Ro'meave's."
"A shame too." Garroth teased.
"Hey!" Travis indignantly shot up straighter. "I'm a Valkrum, and PROUD of it!"
"And I'm a squirrel!" Ross cheeped. "Cheep cheep."
"SQUIRREL!" KC screeched, a magical broom appearing in her hand. "DON'T YOU TOUCH THOSE COOKIES!"
