Chapter 15: The Good Girl's Promise

JUST KEEP SWIMMING, SWIMMING, SWIMMING •

KIMBERLY •

"You what?" I asked incredulously.

Jamie starts laughing but half way through she was about to say it again when Adrienne burst through the stall in only her bra and underwear. She waves a wire hanger in the direction of Jamie. Her face fueled with hot, red anger.

"I do not!" Then Adrienne begins to hit Jamie with the wire hanger.

Jamie is giggling like a mad woman as she gets abused by Barbie. It was a entertaining sight. I wouldn't fully mind Adrienne dating my brother, that is if she liked him and him her. Adrienne seems decent enough that I wouldn't mind.

Even though she might not have all the screws screwed in right in her la cabeza. If you know what I mean...

Yet, I see the way my brother sometimes sneaks quick glances in her direction. Maybe, just maybe it might happen. Adrienne shrieks and Jamie covers her head laughing. I yell,"I mean if you do like my brother, I don't mind."

Adrienne stops and the hanger drops to the floor.

"What d-did you say?" She asked in astonishment.

"I don't care if you date my brother. That is if you like him." I shrugged my shoulders.

"I mean I don't- I just..." She stutters.

"Adrienne and Andrew sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First, comes-" Jamie sings.

"Jamie, I swear I will tell the whole world who you like in a heartbeat if you don't stop." Adrienne warns before turning back to my standing figure.

"Who does Jamie like? And how do I not know any of this?" I asked and placed a hand on my chest in fake hurt.

Adrienne waves a hand as if to say it was no big deal. She looks at the dresses on the nearest rack before saying,"She's liked this guy since kindergarten. He's just too stupid and full of himself to notice."

Jamie's cheekbones flush red and she tried to distract herself by twisting with her fingers. She mumbles,"I stopped liking him a long time ago. He's an a**hole."

Adrienne nods,"You got that right."

"For all of creation! Who is he!" I practically screamed.
