Nathan and I entered the coffee shop known as Starbucks only minutes later. Like the gentleman he was he opened the door and bowed deeply while doing so. I couldn't help but cringe at his actions. But then again he didn't seem to care that over fifteen people were watching him like he was a psycho.
I ordered my regular coffee from a woman with bright red hair. Her name tag read,"Cherry." I couldn't help but realize why she had the bright red hair...she was cherry and colored like a cherry.
Who the hell would name there kid Cherry? I mean, it would make sense if her last name was Coke. Therefore, she would be Cherry Coke.
Nathan ordered his and was about to pay for both of ours when I laid cash on the table for him. Cherry took the cash and gave me the remaining change before Nathan could accuse me of paying the check.
Who says that boys have to always pay the check?
Nathan began,"Kimberly, you didn't have to pay that. It was my treat."
"Too bad, I paid for it. It's no big deal."
"It's a big deal when men are supposed to pay for their girl."
Their girl? I'm not his girl.
"You're being sexist right now. Girl's should be able to pay for guys when they want to." I shrugged my shoulders.
"I'm not sexist." He fake gasped.
"You're the most sexist person I've ever met." I joked.
"I think you mean sexiest...not sexist." Nathan smirks while taking a sip of his coffee. We sat in a blue booth that was the size of an ant...literally. Our knees were basically pushed against each other's and the table between us met both of our stomachs.
I rolled my eyes,"Are all the boys in Virginia so full of themselves?"
"Eh, some more than others." He smiles at my horrified reaction.
"In California, hardly anyone is like this. It's like Virginia is the total opposite. It's really hard to get used to you know." I said casually while sipping my mocha cream coffee.
"Yeah, I wouldn't know much about moving...I've only moved once." Nathan shrugged his shoulders.
"Really, from where?"
