Chapter 38: The Good Girl's Promise
CHANNEL IT THROUGH YOUR INNER BELLYBUTTON •

IMPORTANT NOTE; PLEASE READ:
I know you are all wondering...why the hell this update took so long or if I was somehow dead in a ditch for a month. The answer is that I had this update COMPLETELY done within a few days after the last update. But Wattpad had a great idea (note sarcasm) that we should just erase all of my work four whole times. Making me re-write this whole freaking chapter four times in the last month. So I am deeply sorry for the long wait. Maybe one day I will eventually update on time but until that day comes, I have yet to see pigs flying. So without further ado, I hope you enjoy this chapter 😉

KIMBERLY •

The weekend's days always seemed to go by so much faster than the actual weekdays. Doesn't it?

One minute you are walking in the door Friday night after school ready for tacos and Oliver Queen, and the next you second you are waking up to the damn alarm clock on Monday morning.

It sucks balls.

So when I hear the alarm ringing in my ear drums, I start to regret staying up late and watching a marathon of tv, and reading books. With a sigh, I pull my sleep deprived body up from the bed and towards the closet. I take a quick shower and gather my school work on one shoulder within my book bag.

Before I trailed down the hallway to the kitchen, I made sure to check on my brother. These past days, we have been closer than we have been since our parents deaths. Mostly, we have been trying to find out who this person that wants the money and killed out parents is and how to catch them.

But even then, when I am talking to him, I feel as if he is hiding something. As if he is still hiding something. Whenever I ask him why he needed the money in the first place, he always trails off and leaves the questioning words to die in the air between us.

Slowly, I knocked on the door and yell, "Rise and shine, Andy!"

I heard a groan, "Shut up!"

I throw open the door with a loud bang, announcing my presence. "Time to wake up, and smell the sunshine big bro." I began pulling open the window shades and laughing under my breath when he squinted his eyes and almost hissed at the sunlight.

"How the hell do you smell damn sunshine at seven in the morning?" He groans and twists under his bed sheets.

"Easy. You first absorb the stupidity in the room then you channel it through your inner bellybutton-"
