August pov

I blink .. then i blink again . All i'm seeing is white.

"Finally , had me thinking we lost anotha' brother out here " I see Cha , the kids my momma and for the first time in a while my brother Travis.

"Nah man , God aint through with me yet " he chuckled .

"Uncle Auuuggie!!" The kids climbed up on the bed . " the docter say you have a broken arm and a concus- concusshion or something like that " Kay said

"Yeaah he say you gotta rest ,so no more working ya heard me ?" Chay filled in.

"I hear ya" everybody bust out laughing.

"We goin take good care of you uncle Aug" i smiled at em. My lil princesses.

"Well in that case Kay can i have some water please? " She got right to it while i turn to Chay "And Chay can you rub my feet ? they achin bad "

She scrunched up her face in disgust " eww , you paying me to rub yo stinky feet ?"

"Well if it aint fo the money , you yo daddy daughter self" i shook my head. Girl something else.

Kay came with my water, i swear i felt like i never had water in my life , i gulped it down like the water was made from heaven.

" So about Mya-"
"Mya! Oh snap ,My baby" i started taking these things off me and getting off the bed " where she at ? I gotta see her -" Travis was holding me down.

"Aye chill man , you dont wanna mess up yourself more."

"Baby .. " My momma started off coming closer to me " Mya has some serious injuries. Its mostly gone to her head , she got some bruises here and there but the major hits went to her head , She's in a coma fighting for her life" i started shaking my head while the tears rush down my face.

"Nah nah nah not my baby not Mya ,Mama what i'm going do?" I didnt even know what to do .

"What you gonna do is get better and as for Mya we going pray baby and have hope , i know Mya strong so she can handle this , we just gotta have hope"

I couldnt believe this , i would rather it be me in that coma other than her. That girl mean so much to me. She care about me like nobody has before . Nobody . I never felt this close to anybody.

Lord please dont take her away from me.
"Heyy is going be alright , God is going to come through , trust me this a test" Cha said , when the girls saw me crying i knew the felt bad and wanted to make me feel better so they hug me up. "Dont cry uncle Aug , i'll rub your feet and you wont have to pay me " she felt so bad i found it cute "its okay Chay" i kissed her forehead.

"Can i see her?" They nodded "once you're allowed to go i guess you can go" i sighed in defeat. "You're gonna have a list of people to wait on before you go in " Travis piped in . I looked at him in confusion. When i pulled the curtain i see lots and lots of people , her family our trap family school family and church family waiting outside .

" They wanted to see you too but they suggested Family first" i nodded . Really now ? I barely knew some of them.

"I just wanna see Mya" my eyes couldnt stop watering. That girl the love of my life. She cant die on me.

"I'll go ask, in the mean we'll let ya friends come see how you doin" they walked out. I wiped away my tears so they wouldnt notice.

"Nappyyyyheeaad!!" Dennis came running in . The rest chuckled coming in. The usual Pierre Marcus Becca and Dennis.

"Chickenheeeaaad!" Becca yelled hugging me up.
"So how you feel wearing this tight dress?" Everybody laughed.

"Man i can feel my behind hanging out and all the breeze just pass through making me uncomfortable"
They cracked up.

"TMI " Dennks said . I shrugged "you asked"

"Atleast i can pass the gas freely"
Dennis mugged me "ya nasty"

"You had us worried-" becca started

"Uh - nuh" Marcus cut in " we know August was goin make it out alive"

"Only you was losin yo damn head worrying if they was gonna survive"

"Now is just for Mya to wake up" Becca said sadly , thag just kinda bring down the mood for everybody.

"She cant die on me.." i croaked out ,tears blurring my vision. I cant lose her too. I cant.

Becca pulled me into a side hug. "We hear you bruh , just have hope. She going be fine"

I just hope so.
The door opened and Cha pulled up. "You can visit now " soon i heard that i started pushing myself up. Maybe a lil too fast because my head start spinning. I had to wait till it calm down to get up.

I opened the door and waved to everybody who were there , i would come back to them soon i was done with Mya.

When i opened the door i wasnt prepared to see her like that . Her head was bandaged up , her foot too was in a cast and all i can see is the lil bruises on her skin.

I walked closer to her "Hey there princess" i held her hand. I stared up at her beautiful face. No matter what she going always be beautiful in my eyes.

"You looking beautiful as ever , Forehead poppin out of this world they had to cover it up" i made my lil joke and laughed a bit. "I'm sorry i didnt get to protect you the way i wanted to, but i know we both strong people we going survive this , this never going happen again i already have my boys working on it"

I rolled my eyes "nobody going get killed since i know you so well."

"I miss you already , so i'm going bust a small prayer "

*flash back*

"Father in the name of Jesus!!" Mya busted out laughing . She was teaching me how to pray but i kept fooling around.

"August stop playing" she pushed me playfully . I laughed. I love to make her laugh.

"We going do this seriously now" i nodded and tried again " Hesus -" thats all it took before she was laughin again.
"I aint even say nothing yet "
"I know i'm sorry , i cant help it , what is yo problem. " She took deep breaths before getting ready to try again.

"Okay I'm ready . Okay remember pray about whats important to you" i nodded. "Got it"

"Dear heavenly Father , please protect my family from all harm , lord please provide our every day needs. I pray that you help me in school , help my relationship to work, in the areas that we struggle in help us to mature in that area help us to all pass this year , holla at my bro one time. Amen.

"That was really good , you can go more in detail when your at home alone , get comfortable he's always open to hear ya prayers "

*end of flash back*

I went down on my knees , it may have been a struggle but i got it .

"Dear heavenly Father, i wanna thank you for me givin me the oppertunity to survive and also Mya eventhough she not up i trust that you will pull through and heal her , because you are the almighty God , the alpha and omega , the beginning and the end and i believe that you are well able to heal this girl right here. In your word says that by yo stripes we healed so i declare her to be healed in the name of Jesus . Please lord dont take her from me too. Amen."

"Alright Mya now is all up to you. Come back to me baby" i kissed her hand plenty times. Since i know she love it so much.
