Chapter Sixteen

•Taylor's Point of View•

August 24th 2013

Ellie and I had currently just boarded a US airways plane to JFK in New York. My passport got to us, four days ago?

We were at LAX's airport since Ellie had performed with Taylor Swift the day prior.

Ellie made Hannah go home, as in back to the UK. Ellie believed she didn't need Hannah with her as she was managing fine, and Ellie felt as if she was just being a burden for Hannah.

Sam had been hanging out with us a lot, it was great! I really enjoyed Sam's presence.

The flight to JFK was roughly I think five hours? I hadn't even bothered to look at the flight time. New York was three hours ahead, timezone wise. I had never been out of the Pacific Timezone so this was something special.

Ellie and I were roughly in the middle of the plane, our luggage had been taken care of, and I was sat at a window seat.

I had already turned my phone onto airplane mode, so when an announcement came up to turn them to Airplane mode, I already had.

Take-off was in five minutes and I felt excited about what was happening.

"We need to talk about some things but we can talk about them later, okay love?" Ellie told me and I nodded, she was probably just going to tell me some basic things about New York. I had become apprehensive about going to New York with Ellie a couple of days ago but Hannah was already on her ten hour flight back to London, it had been too late to ask to stay in Seattle.

We were soon asked to make sure our seat belts were fastened and once again, I was one step ahead of the game. I saw the plane moving about on the tarmac and I got a jittery feeling inside of me. Ellie saw this and nudged me before she intwined our fingers.

After what felt like forever we were off the ground and take-off wasn't as bad as I thought it would be this time around, honestly. My ears popped once, nothing extremely special.

"You wanted to talk about some things?" I asked and Ellie nodded.

"First of all, I wanted to talk about New York." I had nailed it, hadn't I?

"New York is a scary place, a place i'm actually apprehensive to take you to. The paparazzi are going to go mental there. We had five guys on us at LAX and every single one of the men asked questions concerning you. I want you to know that if the men ask you something, or one of them tries to grab you, you hold onto me tighter. If you're feeling nervous about this, don't worry I am too, I don't want another incident like the one that happened awhile ago back in Seattle." Ellie explained and I nodded straight away letting her know I understood.

"I don't want another incident like the one that happened back in Seattle to happen again either. I was apprehensive to want to come actually, A couple of days ago I was going to ask if I could've stayed back in Seattle with Han---" I stopped myself there, Ellie had the most mortified look on her face

"You didn't want to come to New York?" She asked and I weakly nodded; ashamed.

"I do want to go now. I was apprehensive about the paparazzi, I thought about what you had said back in Sam's Audi and then I realized I hadn't been to New York, and you had, you knew the drill. It scared me, I didn't want to be surrounded by a bunch of men with Cameras." I explained

"I didn't want to bring you for that same reason. You could've told me that sooner and I could've gone to New York alone." Ellie simply stated and I shook my head
