Chapter 20- Match Day

Taytum's POV:
I fell asleep for an hour and by then most of the players where wide awake. They where singing there hearts out. It was great to get woken up by that. I shut my laptop down and shut the lid, then putting it back in my bag. I get a text from Owen.

Hey I have something to tell you later after the game because I can't tell you now. I just wanted to let you know.
Oh ok. I will wait till later.

I replied back and then I locked my phone. We arrived at the location for the match. Everyone piled off and all huddled up waiting to collect their bags from the bus. I collected my stuff and some physio stuff and headed to the changing room that the team was staying in. Jody and I put out physio bags on the bench that was use for check ups. I found some water bottles and filled the bottles that where in the side pockets of my bag up with water.
When I finished up, I got my stuff ready for the match in an hour.

While some of the players where changing I went around to each of them individually and giving them water. As I went by there was thank you's being said as I placed the water down for them. It was about 10 minutes till game time and all the lads where all huddled in a circle, with the coach, saying what the should and shouldn't do. They broke away from the circle and got themselves in game mode. "Good luck lads." I said to them as they where leaving the room to go stand in the corridor. They all lined up and Scotland came and lined up waiting for the game to start.

I walked out from the corridor and sat with Eddie on the bench. Both teams walked out on the pitch and sung their national anthem. I was shortly joined by Jody who put her bag down and sat next to me. The referee blew the whistle and the game started. In the first few minutes Scotland scored a try. It was 10-0. So Scotland was in the lead. Soon after England scored a try to make the score equal. 10-10. Ben Youngs was heading down the wing with the ball and got rugby tackled to the ground with quite a force. Jody and Scott (the other physio) ran on the pitch to help him. I got off the bench and gave the others some drink. They sorted Ben out and ran back to the bench to sit down.

Half time came and the score was 23- 26. England are in the lead. I headed back to the changing room and gave the boys another water just in case they needed it. Soon half time was over and the players where back on the pitch. A few more hard tackles where made but there where no major injuries. It was nearly full time and the score was 30-30. Scotland had the ball and nearly scored a try but James Haskell stopped them. Jack Nowell being Jack, managed to get the ball and leg it down the pitch to score a try. He scored it and Owen got to kick the ball over the stumps. Now the score was 30-36 and the referee blew the whistle to say it is full time.

I hugged Jody and she hugged me back. I shook hands with Eddie and then walked onto the field to greet the players. I congratulated them all and I got to Henry. I ran up to him and wrapped my legs around his waist. We hugged then I kissed him passionately. "Well done. You where amazing." I said to him. "Thank you." He said and gave me another kiss. I let him go and celebrate with his mates and to go see his family.

I went to find Owen. I saw him over with his family. I walked over there to see him. "Congratulations Owen." I said to him. "Thank you." He said giving me a hug. "Taytum I haven't seen you in ages." Collen said. "Me either. Long time no see." I say. She smiles and gives me a hug. "So Owen what did you want to tell me?" I asked. "Well I haven't been honest with you recently." He said. "Ok what is it Owen?" I asked again.

"I have a girlfriend!"
