Chapter 103- First Day

Two days later...

Taytum's POV:
"Mummy! Mummy! It's time for school." Eleanor said jumping on the bed. I wake up and rub my eyes. "Ok dear you go get ready and I will make your lunch and give you breakfast." I tell her. She gets of the bed and goes into the bathroom. I head downstairs and begin to make breakfast and lunch. I make her breakfast first then her lunch. Eleanor walks down the stairs in her school dress and her cardigan in her arms. "Look at you." I said in the nice way. "I look funny." She says taking a seat. "No you don't. You look great. Daddy would be proud." I tell her. Eleanor tucks into her breakfast and finish up the last with her lunch. I put it in her bag as well as her drink.

"Let's take a photo of you. I will send it to daddy." I said. "Yay." She said. I got my phone out and took a photo. "All done. Just going to send it to daddy." I said sending it to Henry. "It has sent." I told her. Eleanor went into the lounge and watched a bit of TV.

"Eleanor time for school." I said walking to the lounge door. She got her bag and put it on her back. I locked the door and we walked to school. We got to school and we went into the room. I bent down to her level. "Have a good day sweetie. I will pick you up at lunch time. See you later." I told her. "Bye mummy." She said giving me a kiss. Eleanor put her bag on the rack and ran across the room to a table. I walked away saying bye to some of the parents there.

I got home and sat on the sofa. I went on my laptop. I did a bit of work on there too. My laptop began to ring. It was face time. I answered it. Henry.

Hey.
Hey Taytum. How's everything at home.
Good. Just took Eleanor to school.
I saw the picture. She looks grown up.
Yep. Eleanor went off fine. I miss you.
I miss you too.
I know Eleanor has only just started school but I was thinking of taking her up to London on the weekend and maybe for the rest of the week.
Well she could start school in London instead. Tell them it is a family thing.
I will try. I'm still going to pull her out though.
Ok.

We talked for a long time and then I noticed the time.

I'm so sorry but I have to go and collect Eleanor from school.
That's fine. Enjoy the rest of your day. Say hi to her. I love you.

I closed the laptop and went to collect Eleanor from school. I arrived and went to see her teacher. "Hello I'm Eleanor's mum, Taytum and I would like to tall to you." I said. "Hello Taytum, I'm Mrs Taylor but you can call me Lacey. What would you like to say?" She asked. "I know Eleanor has only just started school but we have a bit of a family thing we need to get to. Is it ok if she misses a few days of school." I asked. "Yes she can but she will need to do some bits of work like reading and writing." She says. "Ok. I will teach her those myself. Thank you for your time" I said. "You too. Enjoy Eleanor." Lacey said. I took Eleanor's hand and we walked home.

"Are we going to see daddy?" She asks as we get in the door. "Yes but he won't be back when we get there. He says hi." I tell her. "I miss daddy." She says. "I do to." I say.
