Song ~ White Sea - Bloodline
~
Alec threw his seventh black jumper into his bag, sighing. Family matters in Idris meant he had to move for a little while. Without Magnus. Just him, his mum, Isabelle, the Clave, other shadowhunters. He couldn't be bothered to deal with it. And he had to be dragged over there when Magnus had planned a nice trip to London. He ran a hand through his black hair, and turned to his and his boyfriend's wardrobe. Magnus bursted through the door, waltzing in wearing a blue shirt that had clusters of silver thread sewn in like stars over his shoulders. "Alexander. Your mother is here. She wished to talk when I'm not around." Magnus rolled his eyes at the same time as Alec, and he got a gentle kiss on his lips accompanied with a gentle pat on his chest before Alec walked out to speak to his mum.Magnus rooted through what Alec had packed, and replaced at least two of the faded black jumpers with nice shirts he'd bought for Alec. He would have took them anyway, they were neatly folded beside the bag. When Alec had walked back into the bedroom he'd already put his thigh holster on, and Magnus didn't even stop himself from staring. Alec's thighs were no joke. When Magnus tore his cat eyes from Alec's legs, he saw his boyfriend had a stupid smile on his face. "Talk." Magnus stepped forward, gliding along the floorboards. "Mum said you can come to Idris. She sent a file to the Clave asking if you could come with us. To Alicante. They said yes, Magnus." Alec gripped Magnus' shoulders, and Magnus tore from Alec to click his fingers and catch the suitcase that had appeared from thin air. Magnus raised his hand and motioned towards his wardrobe, then the suitcase. Clothes flew into it, ones Magnus didn't want just flying back in. While that was happening Alec pressed a kiss to Magnus' temple and carried on packing.
When they'd done Magnus had touched up his eyeliner, and the two had met with Maryse, Isabelle, and Robert in the hallway outside of the loft. Maryse had gone inside to talk with Alec, but Robert kept his stance outside. He really didn't like Alec's way of life. He even sent a glare at the two when they'd stepped outside hand in hand. Maryse guided everyone to an alleyway out of sight from mundanes, and Magnus drew up the portal. He was responsible for portalling the lightwoods to Idris anyway, and now he was going with them filled him with a sense of pride. Maryse handed Magnus his papers to get into Idris, and the five had stepped through the portal. They arrived at a heavily guarded base type place, a demon tower, and every man or woman there wielded a seraph blade. They all seemed to glare at Magnus. Alec tightened his grip on him. Magnus passed his papers over, a guard ran his stele over the words, and they were let in. They got through the front doors and were met with a bustle of shadowhunters. No cars, no pollution, no yelling or dirt or mess or rubbish. It was surprisingly pure. Magnus had been there before once or twice, but it was different now. Alec, Magnus, Isabelle, Maryse, and Robert walked together till they got to the Lightwood family manor. It was tall, beautiful, extravangant. It perfectly represented Magnus, for some reason. When everyone had settled in, Maryse and Robert had gone to a meeting with the Clave. It was optional for Alec to go, and he refused as to spend time with Magnus at home. Isabelle went away with Aline Penhallow to go shopping downtown.
Alec laid on his bed with his shoulders and head against the wall and Magnus laid over him, drumming a pattern onto one of his runes with his fingers. Both had stripped down to their jeans, and Alec looked so peaceful in Idris. He'd lived here till he was ten, then he'd moved to New York. It was such a pretty place too. Sunny skies, rolling hills. It was the mundane description of heaven. "Alexander?" Magnus raised a hand to card his fingers through Alec's hair. Alec hummed in response, too tired and portal-lagged to string out full sentence replies. "I love you." At that Alec smiled lazily. "I love you too, Magnus." Alec never grew tired of those three words. Especially from his beautiful warlock boyfriend. Alec suddenly sat up abruptly. "Magnus, can I take you somewhere?" He chimed, placing both his hands on ether side of Magnus' face. He smiled. "Of course." Said Magnus. At that Alec sprung up and looked through his wardrobe to pick out a grey three quarter sleeved shirt. When he pulled it on all Magnus could think about was how good he looked in it. When he managed to stop staring, he slid his blue shirt over his arms and buttoned it up to the top. Alec side smiled and padded barefoot across the bedroom towards Magnus, and unbuttoned the shirt a little. Sunlight spilled across the bedroom in slivers of hot orange, and managed to catch the tops of Magnus' collarbones that had been uncovered by the shirt Alec had unbuttoned.
Alec dashed down the stairs, Magnus following, smiling over his boyfriend being exited. He looked like a little child. When Magnus reached the bottom Alec was pulling his shoes on. Magnus did the same. Alec then grabbed Magnus by the hand and took him through the back door to the barn. Four horses stood in separate stables, and Alec thanked a small boy who led two of them out. One was a white Connemara cross, the other a black Welsh cob. They were tacked up, they looked really well looked after. Alec took the reigns of the Connemara cross, and passed them to Magnus. "I hope you know how to ride a horse." A smile plagued his face. Magnus sighed in disbelief. "Of course I do. I'm over eight hundred years old, of course I know how to ride a horse." The warlock scrunched his nose. Alec swung himself up and over the saddle, settling before turning to watch Magnus do it. He looked graceful as always, and Alec had to pry his eyes off of Magnus. Alec pressed his thighs into the horse, and it started walking forward. Magnus ended up trotting a little. His horse was a little behind, and when he got side by side with Alec and his horse he went back to walking.
Alec lead, and when he finally stopped they were at the centre of a field. It was like a hill, so they could see from the top the surrounding forests. Green eyes shone through the foliage, along with shimmering flashes of wings. The two sat on the grass, silent. The place was so quiet and beautiful that neither wanted to disrupt it by talking. After a while Alec decided to break the comfortable silence. "I used to come here when I was younger. After I got my first runes I could get out of the house without being noticed. I rode up here at night and just looked at the stars." He sighed. "Is this your happy place?" Magnus brushed a loose strand of Alec's fringe aside. "Well other than the loft with you, yes." Said Alec. "I can see why you like it. You can see the city centre from up here, the demon towers. It's quiet." Magnus sat back, leaning on his hands. Alec hummed. "At night it's even prettier. There are fireflies and when I look at the stars I can't tell the actual stars from the bugs. Werewolves and faeries don't come near me, but they stare from the edge of the woods." Alec mused, looking up and slightly squinting at the blue sky. Magnus let out a puff of warm air. He couldn't get enough of Alec, especially when he was happy and calm like this. Alec let himself fall onto his back, and placed his arms behind his head to rest on them. His fringe splayed across his forehead, his black hair stark against his milky skin. When he tilted his head to look at Magnus he was more than awestruck. His skin was caramel gold, and he was almost glowing in the sunlight. The highlight dusting his cheekbones just made him look even more heavenly.
Alec sat up to shift over to his boyfriend, who'd laid back the same way as Alec. He was more than a spectacular sight. Alec moved his leg so it was over Magnus, and he was straddling him. "So you like it here?" He bit his lip anxiously. Magnus smiled and removed his hands from behind his head to place them on either side of Alec's face. "I love it here, Alec." He brought Alec's head down to kiss him. Alec's lips were soft, as always, and he hummed as Magnus carded his fingers through his hair. Alec turned his head slightly, taking Magnus' lower lip between his teeth and pulling slightly. Magnus let a small laugh bubble up into the kiss. "My Alexander." He managed to murmur, gripping a little tighter onto the roots of Alec's hair, kissing him a little harder. Alec pulled away just for a second, sighing contently. "Now, now. Don't get cocky, cat-eyes." He smiled to Magnus, watching the warlock roll his eyes. "And who are you to tell me what to do?" Magnus raised an eyebrow. "Your boyfriend." Alec ran his tongue along his upper lip, and yelped when Magnus managed to flip them so he was on top. "You say I'm the cocky one." He leant down to press butterfly kisses from Alec's jaw to his neck, stopping at the base of his throat. Alec's eyelashes fluttered at the feeling. He could feel Magnus' lips on him but they were feathery light, as if they were and weren't there at the same time.
"We can't take this any further here. I don't want to find grass in my underwear, Alexander." Magnus stated when he pulled away from Alec's neck. Alec choked on air. "Well I guess we should go back. We can finish this back at the manor." He pushed a stray bit of Magnus' fringe aside. Magnus climbed off Alec and helped him up. They got on their horses and rode back to the Lightwood manor. When they got back the sun was setting and the lights in the building were on. Robert, Maryse, and Isabelle were back now. They had no more time to themselves. Alec silently cursed as he led his and Magnus' horses back into the stables. They got inside giggling like schoolgirls, hand-in-hand, forehead-against-forehead. Maryse and Isabelle smiled to each other, and all Robert did was spare a glare for the two as they ran upstairs while kicking their shoes off. The two fell onto the bed together, meeting in the middle for short, sweet, warm kisses.
"God what would I do without you?" Alec pressed his lips against Magnus'. Hard.
Magnus let out a breathy laugh.
"Crash and burn."
