Song ~ The Blah Blah Blahs - All The Right Moves

When the New York institute were informed of the visitors to arrive the next week, Alec wasn't the only one to roll his eyes.

It was group of shadowhunter girls, girls that would get on well with Isabelle and Clary, girls that had heard of Jace Herondale and Alec Lightwood. They'd packed every dress and revealing item of clothing they'd owned, in hopes of impressing the boys. There were four of them, and Magnus had no clue they were arriving, never mind the fact that they were girls. And when they walked in with their heads held high, Magnus rolled his eyes so hard that he could see his own brain. Not really, figure of speech. Though if he tried hard enough he could probably see his brain. Being a warlock had its pluses.

"Hey, what if Alec picks me?" One girl squealed, and got a smack from the other three. "Hey Jace is free I've heard." The second mused, fanning her face. "Apparently they both are. Time to turn on the charm." The third laughed. The fourth scoffed. There was a rumour going around Idris that Alec Lightwood was gay, but none of the four girls believed it. They just thought it was gossip. Idris loves a good bit of gossip after all.

"If Alec is gay, I'll be sure turn him straight again." The fourth girl winked in the direction of where Alec and Jace were sparring. Both were shirtless, and there was a man seated in the viewing bench. Magnus. They discussed what they'd do to Alec and Jace, inappropriate things. Magnus heard them, they weren't exactly being subtle about their fantasies, and his jaw clenched at the mention of Alec.

They all rushed over and squabbled over seats, pushing each other to sit next to Magnus who was clearly not interested. "Uh, hey." The first girl smiled as sweetly as she could muster, and Magnus turned his head to look at her blankly. She gasped. "You're Magnus, Magnus Bane?!" She squealed, and touched his arm. He shrugged her off and turned back to Alec who smirked at the sight of him being coddled. Magnus only half listened to what the first girl was saying, and learned their names.

The first one was Kiera, second was Clara, third was Maria, and fourth was Mina.

He didn't really care that much for them or what they did, he only cared about what they wanted with Alec. He'd heard their yelling over who'd get to flirt with his boyfriend, and decided to be quiet about it till the last moment. "So.." The first girl, Kiera, hummed; trying to sound seductive. Magnus almost choked with laughter but he held it back. "Yes?" Magnus sounded bored, and Kiera didn't seem to get the memo. "What's it like being the High Warlock of Brooklyn and all?" She sounded hoarse, like she was dehydrated, and Magnus grimaced.

"Good. Don't have to buy things. Immortal." He nodded a swift reply and trained his eyes on Alec who was still amused on what Kiera was doing. She was clutching onto Magnus' arm. He gently pried her hand off him. He really wasn't up for it. She scoffed and swapped places with Clara, who was going to try him instead. "I'm sorry about her, she's portal lagged. Not used to portal travel. I'm Clara." She stuck out her hand and Magnus shook it hesitantly. She seemed like the nicer one of the four. "Anyways, Jace. What's he like?" She nudged Magnus' arm, and he smiled in disbelief. "He's an ass. Well he can be nice but he's vain. He'll also protect you no matter what. He's taken though." Magnus finished up, and saw the girl frown. He almost felt bad for her.

He whispered a sorry and smiled sympathetically. She looked up and stared at Jace. He looked like an angel. Not to Magnus but to the girls. His hair was sweaty and splayed all over his face. The multicoloured light from the stained glass windows poured over the Parabatais, drenching them in blue and red and pink and all sorts of other colours. Alec really did look good. He always did, but it was thanks to the light that hit him perfectly, and the small glances he gave Magnus, and the smirking that he drove Magnus over the edge.
