Now when I say "night", it was just as if it was a Monday but on a Thursday night. And we all know how Mondays are... Just like when Garfield says, "I hate Mondays". I can totally understand how he feels about Mondays.
Okay so first of all, I wanted to drive to In-N-Out burger which was only 7 minutes away from my work, and I had a hour lunch. But the thing was the GPS kept changing directions and kept confusing me. So to skip the long details, let's just say I got to the place finally. I ordered what I wanted and the cashier told me my order number.
So before I get to that part, let me tell you; When I did get there, the drive thru was backed up almost to the building by the traffic light. I was in a position where I couldn't back up because there was a car behind me and a car in front of me so I was kinda in between. So finally when I was able to get out I was going to go to Zupas, but I looked at the inside building of In-N-Out and inside didn't look as busy so I drove over there. There was a couple people ahead of me which wasn't too bad.
Now getting back to the point where the cashier told me my order number. . She did ask if it was to stay or go and I told her it depended how long I had... So by the time she handed me the receipt the time on the receipt said 6:55 and I had to be back by 7:10 (it was a 7 minute drive back) I then told the cashier that it was to go. She asked what was my order number and I told her. She told me she'd let the cooks know...
Finally one of the cashiers said my order number and I got in the car, but my phone was dead so I didn't have the GPS to guide me back..
So to skip the long story, I finally made it back and to skip the conversation with a CSM, they just gave me a warning and I assured the CSM that it would not happen again.
But that was just one thing, another thing that happened was I was on self checks and I saw that there was a caution tape all across the registers. They closed off all the registers except 1. Why? Because as I was told, they were fixing all the broken tiles or something. The only register that was open was the one that had tobacco but luckily a CSM was on that register.
So on the note of the first thing that happened, I'm not doing that again. If I want lunch, I'll just find somewhere close by drive home for lunch, so lesson learned about that.
