When you think about it, Junior high is scary at first right? You know because you are trying to find your way around the school, your classes etc... And you think you could get in trouble by the teachers by being late on the first day right? Well, no worries because every teacher knows how it is for people on their first day of Junior high. My Junior high experience was kind of exciting... And then boring too. When I first walked into the double doors of my new Junior high school, I was shocked in amazement because to me it looked a lot bigger than my Elementary school. And I had thought I could like it here.
My teachers were ok I guess. My math teacher, he was really funny. I thought he was cool. The other teachers were well..... OK I guess. When I heard that first bell to go to the next class I was confused so I had thought What is that sound? I soon realized that was the sound of the bell. But it soon changed to music. Yes, that's right- Music. I guess it was the Administrations way of getting the kids on class on time. What they did is they played music through the halls between classes. When the music would stop, that would mean you would have to hurry to your class. You seem the doors were automatically locked when they shut. And if they were shut, you would have to go to the office and the office would have to call the teachers to let the person in, and soon after that they would write them a tardy slip. I don't know why but that's just the way they had it scheduled.
After I realized that this big huge room was actually the lunch room, I remember I had forgotten that I was out of lunch money so I could not get lunch that day. Knowing me, I forget things a lot! Its as if I have a short circuit in my brain the fuses and forgets what I needed to remember. When it came to my turn to punch in my lunch number, one of the lunch ladies's said,
"You don't have any money." I felt heartbroken because I was so hungary. Well, that is if you did not count me using the vending machines (which was my favorite part of the school) As it turned out, some one that knew me was working as a lunch worker. Now, I had forgotten to tell you that when I was in Elemantry school, I was a lunch worker and got free lunches. Also when I was in Elemantry school, in the mornings for breakfast they had this drink that was Tampico. So every morning I would go there and tell the lunch lady,
"My mother said I had to have that drink." I was not sure what the reason was, but the Tampico drink was for these specific kids who could not have milk or something. I was a bit of a trickster. Anyway, I walked away from the lunch line when the person who was working said,
"Hey I will pay for your lunch." I turned to him and said
"No, that's ok." He argued and said he would but I refused to listen. Finally the Assistant Princaple shouted,
"HEY!" Mainly because I was walking away from the lunch line.. I refuese to pay attention. I acted as if he was not talking to me. The thing was usually during lunch I always took the table that did not have any chairs. Yes, there were some chairs but there were tables that you could just stand on. I normally got cheese pizza because it was the only thing I liked. Yeah, there were times that I had gotten something else other than Pizza because they were serving something I liked.
During my 7th grade year, my math teacher was Mrs. Askew. I liked that class for one reason; Because of the cute girls. There was this cute girl that I especially liked. Her name was Nikki. Now there is something you should realize about me; I was what you call shy. I did not talk to anyone, hung out with anyone, or did anything with anyone. All I did was go to class and said nothing. My older brother Jaron, did the same thing... I guess it was hereditary because I did everything the same thing he did. I did not like it at all, I wanted to be different than Jaron.
One of the classes I liked was reading class I think. It was a small class, but I could deal with it. Why? I talked in that class sometimes. Bigger classes? I wouldn't say one word. I liked reading class because my teacher Mrs. Garrison read to us different kinds of books. I felt like a preschooler having a teacher read to us... But I didn't complain about it. When Mrs. Garrison said we would have these tickets, we could buy something from the store. When I heard that, I thought of the last store I went too in 6th grade But to my amazement, it was a different kind of store.
