Chapter 43- Getting to know the girl

So the next day which was Friday, I mentioned to Kaye that I did not see her yesterday (See previous chapter) I also told her that I was hoping to tell her today.

By lunch time I was standing by the pizza bar just waiting for customers, my replacement was on the other end of the bar. So I just kept an eye out for her but I didn't let it distract me. So when a customer came up to me asking if there was something wrong with the pizza, I told her that I finally figured what was wrong with it (The temperature dial was not set to 450) Then later I saw her getting lunch and I told the customer to hold on (My replacement could talk to her.

So I went up to the girl and I mentioned to her that I was looking for her yesterday and she replied back "Oh you were? " I told her that I was. I then mentioned to her, "Hey remember yesterday when you told me you are here from this time to this time and then after that you would wait for your parents?" She said she did remember. I mentioned to her that if she wanted she could come over to my booth and we could talk or something. Then she replied "Or hang out!" I chuckled and told her that we could do that too. So I asked her where she would want to meet. She told me she usually likes to hang out in the front area where the front desk is. I replied back to her that I would meet her out there. Then after that we went our separate ways; I went back to work and she went to go eat.

Later that same day after I had shut everything down and cleaned up everything, I normally would go to my booth and sing on Smule sing. But this time I didn't, this time I went up to the front and sat in one of the chairs and waited for her. So while I was waiting, our dishwasher came and sat down next to me and we talked for a bit then we told each other what level we were on, on this game that we both were playing. Then later she left to go home and I just went back to playing on my tablet until the girl came.

Later I saw her coming from the hallway and I gave her a wave. She waved back with a smile. She then sat down next to me. Then we were getting to know each other by telling the other person about themselves. And we talked for a couple of hours because 4- something when my dad finally came down and was ready to go. I told him I'll be there in a second and he replied back that he would just wait outside. So after he went outside, I turned back to the girl and I said, "So if you want to go on a date, let me know" And she said okay with a smile. I really like her smile and laugh. I started heading out the door walking backwards still talking to her and I kept repeating the same thing over.

When I finally headed outside, my dad was like 10 feet ahead of me and I was trying to avoid eye contact. I finally noticed him standing and looking at me with a look on his face like a smirk. I told him to stop looking at me in a joking way, and as we were heading to the car he kept asking me who's the girl and I kept replying what girl? Then as we got into the car he mentioned that he was pretty sure that the picture on his phone of me talking to the girl would be proof and this time I gave him a look and asked what picture? He told me that he took a picture of me talking to the girl when I thought he went outside.. Then when I got home, I think my sister saw the picture and asked me the same thing my dad did "Who's the girl?" And I replied "What girl?" So sneaky of him..
