Ok so after did the whole, testing the car and liking how it feels when I drive and everything (You probably know the feeling for those of you who experience buying a new car, you know what I'm talking about) Anyway after the long process, the seller gave me this paper that works like a title and all I had to do was take it to the DMV and get it sorted out.
So this one day I drove to the DMV to try to get it taken care of and I had the paper with me. So when I got to the DMV and waited for them to call my number, (And once they finally did) I went over to where my number was called. Once I told them that I wanted to get my car registered and titled, they asked for the paper. I felt around my pockets because I thought I brought it with me, I told them I would check in the car... But once I looked in the car, it wasn't there. I thought I had lost it.
So fast forwarding to last week, my girlfriend was walking me up to the car before I headed to work.. Of course it wasn't easy leaving because you probably know the feeling like you wish you didn't work that day so you could spend time with your significant other more but then you know you have too.
So here's the funny story; Before I got in the car from my girlfriend's place, I saw a piece of paper on the ground right in front of where the car is parked. I wasn't sure at first but I wanted to check to see just in case. So I picked up the paper and I saw through the paper of yellow highlights from a highlighter marker of which the seller gave me that paper so all I had to do was sign the bottom page.
But then I remembered something; The day I was taking it to the DMV, it was a Friday because every Friday I take my girlfriend to her appointment on Friday's and that day I thought I was so late picking her up I must have accidentally dropped it when I was getting out of the car to get her and I didn't even think about putting the paper on the seat. I guess that would kind of make sense right?
Anyway so I picked up the paper and unfolded it, and I was shocked: It was the paper that I needed to get it to the DMV, the paper I thought I lost. I was so relieved that I finally found the paper. So on my last chapter I mentioned about a funny story.. Well, this was the funny story.
It may not be funny as in a humorous way but funny in a ironic way that I would actually find the paper in the parking lot by my girlfriend's place untouched. Sure, there may be footprints on the paper but I don't think the DMV is gonna care about that, they just needed the information on the paper.
I mean hey, anyone could have just picked up the paper and took it to the DMV and payed for the title and registration if they had that kind of money.. All they really needed to do was sign the bottom. All in all, the bottom line is I'm just glad that I found the paper and was still able to take it to the DMV.
