So this happened last week, almost two weeks ago. I was the SCO (Self Checkout) Host that night and this one point I did 248 action code (Which calls a CSM up if you had a training question or something) Anyways I did 248 action code at least 4 times (Each with a reason) The first time I did it was because one of the register numbers from the self checks, it was blinking green which usually means something is wrong and it needs attention. Now sometimes it can be something I can fix like replacing the receipt tape. And other times it would be something a CSM would have to do but I can't.

Anyways so one of the cashiers came up to the register by the self checks and asked what was wrong. I told her, one of the registers was blinking green because the self check register told me that the $20 currency bill was low (that's how customers get their $20's if they ask for cash back) And she went to let one of the CSM'S know about it. That was the first time.

The second time was about 9 ish, which meant that I was on my last break... (Or supposed to be at least) I called to let them know about it. 10-15 minutes gone by and I still hadn't gone on my last break yet, so when I did the 248  again, finally one of them came. I told him about the $20 currency bill was low (That's one of the things that a CSM needs to do) And mind you, I had no idea if the cashier told him or not but I wouldn't blame her or anything. So after I explained the situation and letting him know of my break, he said the exact words "Don't waist my time" I mean those words are something that should never be said.

It doesn't matter if he said it to a associate (in this case, me) or if he had said it to a customer. Doesn't rally matter; What matters is those words should never be said to a associate or a customer. After he had said those words to me, my response was "I wouldn't waste your time if you were a bad CSM".... Ok maybe I was a little out of line, but he was the one that made the error in how he talked to me.

So it was about 9:15 when a CSM said that the other CSM (not mentioning names) wanted to talk to me in the CO office and after that, it would be my 15 minutes break. A minute later I knocked on the CO door and the CSM let me in a minute after that. After the door was shut, he asked "Ok, what's going on?"

And I was thinking 'Are you serious? You don't remember what you said to me about 5 minutes ago?' Of course I didn't say that out loud. I did say it was his attitude though and how he can't treat associates that way. He may be above the rank of cashier, but it still doesn't give him the right to treat an associate the way he treated me. If he was in the rank where he could fire me, yeah I wouldn't say a darn word. But since he doesn't have the power to fire me, just like the title says; I had no problem back talking to the CSM.

At one point when we were "talking", I mentioned to him that next time I won't do a 248 action code so I won't "waste his time". And that's what I did the very next time. I gotta tell you a little story that ties into that; So I think it was the week after since we had that little talk when I was on a register and I did the 248 action code. (I can't remember what it was for) Anyway so that same CSM came up to the register I was at and he asked "What's going on?" And I replied with, "Nevermind I don't wanna waste your time" and then he asked the question again, and I told him that I said nevermind I'll wait for another CSM (Well I did say the CSM'S name) just so I didn't have to waste his time. Yeah.. I'm never going to let him hear the end of it. He brought that on himself.
