Erens POV
When school ends Mr.Pixis wants me to stop by his room to practice some songs that I needed to go over before homecoming. Me and Pixis think of a few good songs, some were generic others were cool. I had a few good songs on my mind like "Follow You" by Bring Me The Horizon and "Mr.Brightside" from The Killers. He wasn't too fond of the songs I listened to but they were all I knew so he'd have to deal with it. But at the end of the day he enjoyed my company and how well I practiced. When I get home from practice I tell my mom about the performance for homecoming and she's super excited about it. She even says that she'd come to the dance to watch me play, that makes me a little nervous but I'd enjoy that. I go to bed because I'm emotionally drained from earlier but I think I'd get over it after some good sleep.
When I go to school the next day I wear my usual black outfit, the one I wore when Levi and I talked for a while. I swear this jacket has seen some shit, like when I fought Zeke's goons and got shot....I think I took my jacket off in the middle of the fight because the bullet holes not there. I swear there's still blood stains on this jacket. I walk to my locker and Krista's standing by it talking to Reiner, I wave to them then go straight to my locker. Before I know it Reiner puts his arm around my shoulder and he pulls me in.
"Eren i need help."
"What is it?"
"Krista...I want to ask her to homecoming but i don't know how. And you said that you guys weren't dating so I thought that was a green light."
"Yeah we're not but how am I any help?"
"Because she seemed really into you, and to be honest she still does. Do I have to dress...emo? Or what?"
"Didn't know I dressed emo, thanks pal."
"I'm joking but still how do you pull chicks?"
"I don't know, you're the star athlete in football. Shouldn't I be asking you that?"
"Well.....Krista's cute and I don't like any other girls so you gotta help me."
"Fine I'll throw in a good word."
"Thanks and dude your hairs pretty long now, thought about cutting it?"
I mess with my hair and reply back to Reiner.
"Crosses my mind but haven't really pulled the plug."
"Understandable, alright Eren catch you around."
I wave him goodbye and realize I just agreed to hooking my friend up when I don't even have a date to that damn dance. Whatever I'll think of something I think while shutting my locker closed. When I look to my left I notice Krista walking towards me, I guess nows a better time then any to tell her about Reiner. She approaches me and is kinda acting nervously.
"H-Hey Eren can I ask you s-something?"
"Yeah what's up?"
"You umm...wanna go to homecoming?"
There's a good bit of silence and all I'm thinking in my head is FUCK ME MAN! She's a beautiful girl but Reiner wants her and I'm no man whore so I just got to say no I guess.
"I...I want to say yes, but there's to much I have going on and I know that a friend of mine really likes you and actually wants to take you to homecoming and would probably make you a lot more happier then I could."
"Oh..."she says while looking at the floor depressed.
"Krista I'm sorry, I really am. If it makes you feel any better, I'm probably going to homecoming alone and I'm just gonna be doing the gig."
"Then why not just go with me and enjoy yourself."
"Reiners the one that wants to take you, I'm not that type of guy to do that, you know that. I'd rather be miserable then lose anymore friends, and besides he's a good guy."
"You're honestly better though, I felt sparks when we kissed...I thought you did too."
Krista replies sadly and walks away, great now I have two beautiful girls that I disappointed isn't that wonderful. I couldn't be anymore of an asshole could I? I start walking to Levi's class when Reiner comes out of no where and floods me with questions.
"Dude what happened?"
"I think you're good to go."
"Really? Ya sure?"
"Yeah nothings holding her back I'm sure."
I say walking into Levi's class still upset with myself.
When lunch comes around it's the same routine as yesterday where Mikasa and Jean sit on the opposite side of the table. This time Krista is sitting with Reiner and they're talking a lot, that's good I'm happy for them. I lay my head on the table with my ear buds in ignoring everyone. Everyone sees that I'm being antisocial so Sasha decides to throw her French fry at my head and that gets me looking up.
"Yes?"
"Come on Eren lighten up, you're gonna be performing in less then a week for homecoming isn't that fun?"
Sasha says while she steals connies food, he's not to happy about that so they just continue stealing each other's food.
"Ehh I guess, I'm only going for the gig not for dancing."
"Whatcha mean?"
Connie asks looking confused at the point i was trying to make.
"Not going with a date, I'm just doing it to perform."
"Well that sucks, I wanted to actually see you dance."
"Don't worry there's nothing special, you might get a kick out of me messing up but besides that nothing much."
Everyone laughs but Mikasa and Krista, they just kinda both look sad. I don't blame'em they both were hurt by me so I know they're gonna be sad hearing what I just said.
"Dude don't worry we can go together."
I hear Armin say from the right of me, if there was someone I could count on always it's Armin.
"Yeah man, let's do it."
He's my best friend, and honestly I couldn't have asked to go to a crappy dance with anyone other then him.
