Critic
Chewing repetitiously
Avoiding every mirror
Food was his comfort
Death ever nearerAll alone he sat
His weight problematic
Jaws sagging downward
Heartbeat erraticIndulging in the finest
Chewing, gulping, biting
Multiple menu items
Mind and matter fightingBlotchy sunless complexion
Feet swollen and inflamed
The overall picture
Massive physique acclaimedSmall childlike hands
Each movement monumental
Skillfully dissecting
Savoring, he chews so gentlePassersby avert his eye
For fear of being devoured
One imperfect forkful
Restaurant reputation souredHis carcass jiggling
To the joy of a new dish
Every mouthful has meaning
The review wait is anguishThe temperamental chef
Perspiring to his name
Knowing what he writes
Can end his fame
