Okay,
Someone suggested I do a series on foods. Since I have the attention span of a gnat, but LOVE the idea, poems about food will be dispersed sporadically from here on out.

Corny

My family is prolific
Love living in the Midwest
Dancing in the fields
Solidarity, standing abreast

Hard, hot, and explosive
Butter me up lover boy
I can be a real handful
Every moment you'll enjoy

Desire for consumption
In covert and obvious ways
You love me so sweetly,
Savory, with all sorts of entrees

Can't live without me
Make your engines roar
Body and machines fueled
Veggie, grain, fruit, ambassador

Livestock in the fields
Ruminate upon me every meal
I'm talking literally here
Gift from farmer, genteel
