Contemplating Thanksgiving.

It wasn't up to par. No Turkey notes for the first time ever! One of my favorite people in the world, an aunt, had just died of COVID.

I know she would appreciate the following.

Nightmare Before Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving arrived

Exhausted I wined-

Drank glass after glass

On chocolate I dined

Impending butt stuffing

YES! It's a thing!

Potato fluff fluffing

For family gorging

Eyes sparkled, then glazed

It must be the drink

Golden popovers fall

Turkey meat still pink

Close eyes, breath deep

The dining room turns

Grab cloth covered table

Hot spilled gravy burns

Green beans limp as noodles

Bright color now bland

A loud gasp is heard

When I pull out canned

Three pies not enough

Where's the whip cream

Cranberries boil over

It was all a bad dream
