Channel Surfing
Hopefully you'll reach the age
When fun is easily attainable
Sporting options become limited
Lay down adjust pillow mull
Restless recline with blanket
Sit up fidget with remote
Picture on screen appears
Watching something antidote
Don't want to miss a boring thing
Lift remote change channel repeat
Lift remote turn volume up to hear
Lift remote change again from seat
Push - not ups, but buttons
Volume during commercials raising
Dangerous apple cutting
Shuffle to kitchen grazing
Salsa lid twisting chip chomping
Hear over fridge and pantry doors
Heavy kettle to mug tea bag dunk
Banging cupboards and drawers
Point remote reposition for signal
Action begins turn volume down
Looking for something interesting
In oversized shirt for nightgown
Time to change remote hand
Full body exercise routine
Stabbing motion channel change
Zoned out on television screen
Possible interesting show begins
Intriguing scene volume increase
Dialogue like hearing loss
Mindless minutes streamed surcease
Maddening music muffles monologue
Dying brain cells concern
It's a strenuous sporting event
With enormous calorie burn
Another night of channel surfing
