Week 122 - Carrot in My Cup

Anyone that knows me well knows I love vegetables, but really dislike fruit.
It's a texture thing. I'll eat veggies for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday, but put a piece of fruit in front and me and my gag reflex goes into high gear.
I only eat my daily fruits in smoothie form. I buy fresh produce from our local farmer's market, prepare it, freeze it, then use it in a variety of combinations in our Vitamix. I do use some veggies in smoothies so they're not as sweet, and for their incredible color, but don't base the beverages on them.

The other day a good friend found this funny, "Why not Vitamix all your veggies?"

To which I replied, "That's disgusting!"

They shot me another question, "But why?"

To which I had no reply...

Carrot in My Cup

There are carrots in my mug
They've been blended to pulp
Hold my nose and take a chug
Cross-eyed at second gulp

I can drink it on a dare
But add other likable things
Orange and lemon to prepare
Sans their pith and peelings
