Grocery shopping is a very important task to me. Garbage in, garbage out! As I've aged I find it more and more important to eat the right things and buy environmentally friendly products. Getting someone else on board is a different story...
Grocery Store
Wanted to be in my happy place
Just couldn't get there right then
You were asked to get toilet paper
Bought the sandpaper brand againWent to make a sandwich
The pickles were bread and butter
What happened to the dill
When I asked I didn't stutterThe list said Greek plain yogurt
Needed for a specific recipe
Never heard of pizza dough
With vanilla bean flavored dairyIt was a birthday request
To make a rhubarb pie
No chard is ever needed
Go crossed-eyed and sighThe fruit was as hard as rocks
Doubt it will ever get ripe
What a waste of money
Sick of hearing myself gripeOpened the carton of eggs
Were the extra small free
I'd have to use two for one
Quite possibly even threeMilk, don't even want to discuss
But perhaps I really must
What's the point of watery skim
The taste I'd never adjustVeggies are always important
Obviously you didn't even care
Their dented, bruised, and wilted
Must have participated in warfareThe bread was not freshly baked
Environmentally evil plastic bag
Can't pronounce the ingredients
I continue to rag, rag, rag, rag, ragWhat about those paper towels
The brand I've always used
Eco-friendly select a size
There's no way to be confusedIt's not worth the added hassle
Your grocery privilege taken away
You probably did it on purpose
Making your last trip yesterday...
