Week 88 - Bed

I have been sick for days now. At first I thought it was out of control allergies. Now, waking in bed, my whole body aches. Pounding and swollen. My eyes are leaking. I'm going to take more flu medication, along with pain medication, and hide under the weight of layers of covers, in the fetal position - all day long! This is to you, my Italian, hand-carved love...

Bed

Softly you whisper my name
I won't verbally reply
Longingly gaze in your direction
Subconscious tune a lullaby

Head of curls precisely coiffed
My finely featured queen
Want to sneak a quick visit
Self-imposed quarantine

Never going to be upset
With legs on the short side
Some say they are heavy
Wrap around skirt does hide

A foot that's been injured
It was not your fault
Someone's evil little dog
Committed the assault

Blanketed with luxury
Covered impeccably
With the latest fashion
Purchased by me

Soft against the skin
Linen and bamboo
Wrinkle free attire
Organic fabrics milieu

Who is she you may ask
Freely offers a warm embrace
The mattress on my bed
Duvet and matching pillow case
