Happy Father's Day!
Talk of Shame
In hushed tones
Discussed her fate
Feelings to save
Guilt that I participateBackstabbing hit low
Talked of her appearance
Years altered perfection
Drove on, perseveranceWhispered about her age
Others now look better
Yet she continues to shine
Nothing much upsets herAlways within earshot
Words of saccharine praise
Her loyalty refreshing
We betrayed, she obeysIll support her each day
Odometer's increased miles
New car I'll not pursue
Cajole with pats and smilesI love Bliz! Short for Blizzard. She's the best. She's our sparkling white Subaru. American made toughie. I've been badgered a few times about getting a new car, as her age and miles continue to increase. Not gonna happen.
