Out of Love
I've fallen out of love
Another restless night
Trying to nod off
To the glow of streetlight
Between crisp sheets
Upon king sized bed
On the cool pillow
Where I lay my head
Fingers trail lightly
Disappointedly sigh
Skin accepts your touch
For decades gone by
Dejected, roll over
Research to contemplate
Internet filled with choice
Countless partners to rate
Your nights are numbered
Percale with familiar snap
Crunching to movement
To my face you're burlap
I am typically a very boring person. I research every product I buy to death. Drive people nuts. Then, once I purchase something and love it, am loyal to that product and brand forever! I have bought percale sheets my whole grown life. We won't discuss how many years that has been. However, I only buy 100% cotton. I bought new recently and the pillowcase itched my face! It's been horrible. I know they were not 100% cotton as advertised. Now I have researched different types of sheets for more hours than I am willing to admit. I have purchased my first ever linen set of sheets. They are a game changer! Seriously, it's an awakening (sleepening! (Mindyism))... LOL
