It's been exactly a week since our adoptee entered our home.
Fears are coming and going quite rapidly...Fears
Leather horse footrest
Was the first stress test
Bolted from the broom
That swept the room
A twelve foot ladder
Drained my bladder
Biker made me balk
On first outside walk
Leaves rustle and tail hides
Mom and Dad stroke my sides
Train rumbles over track
Maybe its time to head back...
Warning horn rides the air
Far off, yet still aware
Safety ahead, it's our yard
Now I lower my guard
Then fan blades stir in breeze
Legs lock and I freeze
From vacuum noise I flew
But my confidence grew
Mom's legs are always near
Hide behind and conquer fear
