As I walked down to Infinity, he was stopped by a teacher.
"And which school did you come from?" I heard her say.
"I'm a transfer student from Tokyo," Infinity lied.
"Wait. What? No! E-excuse me! This boy went to my school! Oak Ridge Middle School! His name's Infinity!" I interrupted.
He gave me a cold look.
The teacher looked through some paper in her hand.
"Erm... I can't seem to find any records on him from that school. Perhaps you're thinking of someone else. Anyway, I won't keep you from class any longer. Better get a move on. I hope you find your way around school ok," She told us, leaving us be.
I waited until she'd left.
"You... YOU LIAR!!!" I panicked.
"Why do you never listen?! Didn't I tell you to leave me alone?!" He questioned.
"What did you tell the teacher this time?! Do you have a name in this school or are you still getting away with your stupid games?!" I ordered to know.
"It wouldn't matter even if I did. They'd forget in mere seconds. It's like I told you, I'm very hard to notice. I'm not like any human. I don't require nor have the choice to create reputations so it's pretty easy to disappear without gaining any attention. If I was capable of building reputations each time I moved schools then I'd have to deal with the job of disposing of memories and profiles or making it seem like I died or something which would be a disaster since people would know what I look like," Infinity explained.
"How many times have you had to move school?!" I questioned.
"More then you'd care to know," He told me, turning around.
"Infinity!!!" I yelled.
He hissed back at me in anger.
"I told you-"
"You promised me you'd be my friend!" I interrupted desperately.
After all my efforts so far, I can't let him slip away so easily. I'm not forgetting what Kyo told me... I can change him. I can't allow myself to let go!
"That promise means nothing to me," he told me, refusing to face me.
"Well, it means something to me! Don't you dare break your promise! I-I'll make you regret it!" I attempted to threaten.
"Ha. And what will you do?" He questioned with a smirk, turning his head to the side.
"Anything and everything!" I replied.
"I don't understand. Why won't you give up already?" Infinity questioned.
"Because I-I want to help you!" I told him.
"I don't need your help-"
"Yes, you do!!! And I won't stop until you accept it!" I yelled, demanding he listened.
Infinity didn't reply but simply walled to class.
"In-Infinity!" I called.
He ignored me.
And now I'm late for class. Great...
