Why Won't It Stop?

"Infinity, why did you...?" I gasped, seeing his completely battered and beaten body.

"I've already explained myself, have I not?" Infinity asked.

"But... you missed school today. Is this why? You don't normally miss school. Or at least you haven't the last few weeks. What's happened all of a sudden to get you to act like this?! I thought... I'd helped you just a little bit! So... SO WHY ARE YOU STILL DOING THIS TO YOURSELF?!!!" I yelled out.

"Oh yeah. You're definitely helping me, Luka. Forcing me to protect you, making me your little matchmaker as you pay more attention to the little things in life whilst disregarding any advise I've ever given you!" Infinity growled.

"What?! I've never made you do anything! And what advice? Giving up on Yukio? Because I think he honestly cares about me, you know?! Unlike you! You're just selfish! You don't let anyone in! You always use a knife to try and resolve your problems! Well, they're still there, aren't they?!! Nothing's changed just because you put a bullet through your stupid head! Why can't you understand people's feelings for once?!" I snapped.

"Feelings?! What Feelings? The only thing I seem to understand regarding feelings is that you're making a mistake with yours. Yukio isn't in love with you. And you can't force him to be either. And believe it or not, I don't really believe you're in love with him either-"

"I've already told you I'm not in love with him! It's a crush-"

"But you want it to be more than that, don't you Luka?! You think if you keep hanging around him like this, you'll both fall in love! If you're not really in love with him then why are you trying so hard to prove yourself wrong?! If your obsession with Yukio is just a crush then you need to figure out what that means to you. Because love is the last word I'd used to describe it. He's nothing, Luka. He's gonna Die one day and leave you in pieces. Start developing feelings for him and you'll find out what it's like to lose them all forever," Infinity went on.

"Infinity! This isn't about how this will end, ok?! Humans can live over 90 years if they're lucky! So if you don't mind, I'd like to start spending those years with someone who actually matters!" I yelled, storming off.

Infinity didn't say a word.

"You're right, you know?" Mei mumbled as she turned her back to him.

"Huh?" Infinity gasped.

"Luka cannot be in love with Yukio. Because she's already fallen for someone. She's simply pretending those feelings aren't there and trying to hide them with feelings she's forced herself to believe seem more realistic. But she's being delusional. If I were you, I'd drop the knife and take a closer look at the blood," Mei mumbled to him before walking off to catch up to me.

Infinity stayed quiet but eventually shut the door and fell against it as he sighed deeply, looking into what Mei had said.

The door knocked once more.

"Uh. Why am I not surprised?" Infinity sighed, seeing Kyo stood there.

"I believe we have a problem," he said with a smile.

"What do you mean we have a problem?" Infinity ordered to know.

"Luka is in grave danger," Kyo told him.

"I know... it wasn't you that attacked us yesterday, was it? It was her. I can't believe after all these years, she's turned up again and at the worst bloody time. If her intention is to kill Luka, then I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep her. There's only one person who can destroy her. But I doubt he's got the time to worry about this world again," Infinity went on.
