"He really gave you that?" Mei asked, observing my necklace.
"Yeah. Pretty cool, huh?" I giggled.
"Who you gonna put in it?" Mei asked.
"Someone special," I smiled.
"Sora will be happy," Mei added.
"Oh err..." I mumbled.
The bell interrupted as students made their way to class again and pretty soon it was finally lunch.
"Kyo!" I yelled, catching up with the redhead.
"Well hello, Luka. Long time no see, am I right?" Kyo greeted me.
"Not really," I replied.
"Well, it's a pleasure to see you in such a healthy state anyway. Where's your friend Sora? I noticed she wasn't here today," Kyo told me.
"Yeah, she's... preoccupied..." I mumbled awkwardly.
"SCREW SCHOOL!!! SCREW LIFE!!! I HATE EVERYTHING!!!!" Sora yelled as she kicked a tree in her garden.
"Except Luka..." she added in a softer voice.
"Quit bullying the tree, sweetie~ " Galaxy suggested.
"Pff. Whatever," Sora grunted.
"Yeah... definitely preoccupied..." I repeated.
"So how are you feeling? Infinity says he's very worried about your safety. Has... something happened?" Kyo asked, all too innocently.
"He's... worried? Are you sure it's not just concern?" I asked.
"He claims it's concern but his actions speak otherwise," Kyo told me.
"I can agree with you there..." I muttered.
"So what's happened? Is someone out to hurt you?" Kyo asked.
"Yes. You should know..." I mumbled.
"Hmm? Whatever is that supposed to mean?" Kyo questioned.
"Infinity keeps warning me about you, Kyo. Keeps saying that you're dangerous. He tells me that you'd heartlessly hurt me when it will give you an advantage. And when I got kidnapped I felt heat and was left with a burn. You burned down the hospital, didn't you? And I know it was Infinity who saved me that day. You had a bruise around your eye the next day. Why was that? And more things keep happening. I'm starting to think you're responsible. I thought you said you wanted to help Infinity, Kyo! Now you're torturing him by threatening my life?!" I ranted.
"Ahaha. Now now, let's not get ahead of our selves here. Listen, Luka, I meant what I said when I told you I simply wanted to help Infinity. But the problem is that he's so very stubborn. So much so that I've had to put you in danger to even get a reaction from him. But luckily, I don't think I'll need to do that so much anymore as long as you continue your cruel jealousy game," Kyo told me.
"Jealousy game? What the hell are you talking about?!" I questioned.
"Luka, I'm hungry," Mei mentioned.
...
...
"How... long have you been standing there?" I questioned.
"I've been here the whole time," Mei told me with a frown.
"Oh..." I mumbled awkwardly.
