Love's Battle

"Kyo... where's Infinity?!" I ordered to know as the boy bowed down to me with a smile.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Miss Rose," he claimed.

"The name thing again?!" I moaned.

"Quit acting all innocent and tell the girl what she wants to know, dumbass!" Sora ordered as she viciously snatched Kyo's shirt, aggressively pulling him closer.

"Why I honestly do not know, m'lady-"

"Infinity is no longer in this world..." Mai confirmed.

"Wh-what? Mai, what do you mean by that?" I stuttered nervously.

Please don't tell me he's finally found a way to die? He wouldn't leave me in this lonely world, would he? What if he was lying yesterday?! It... was all a distraction so that I would stop trying to save him once in for all, out of the belief that I'd already saved him. Infinity... please don't be gone!

"Well?" I asked.

"I meant exactly what I said. I can no longer sense his magic presence. I would have answered you sooner but I didn't want to interrupt your monologue," Mei told me.

"Uh! Kyo! What's happened to Infinity?! Tell me!!!" I snapped.

"I told you, I don't know. Now, I believe we should prepare for battle," Kyo mentioned.

"What do you mean 'prepare for battle'?!" I ordered to know.

"Charlotte is out to kill you, Luka. Surely you've noticed," Kyo told me.

"Yes, I've noticed. But how are we going to kill her?!" I asked.

"Don't worry, Luka! We've got this!" Sora claimed.

"Huh?" I mumbled.

"We will use the power of friendship to destroy her," Mai commented.

"There's no way that will work! We can't take her on by ourselves! ... can we?" I questioned.

"Sure we can! How hard can it be? We're demons after all. You may be a newbie but we'll have your back. We'll teach this female dog what she gets when she messes with our Luka!" Sora told me.

"Really...?" I mumbled.

"Luka does not have faith in us?" Mei asked.

"Uh...! No! Of course I do! Yeah...! Yeah! Alright, let's end this once and for all! So what's the plan?" I asked.

"Well... we could like team up," Kyo suggested.

"And hit it till it dies!!!" Sora cheered.

"Nice!" Kyo complimented her.

"Uh. And I was begging to feel threatened. This will be easier then I thought. And now that Infinity's not in my way... haha, you're all mine!" Giggled a Shadow from a distanced rooftop.

She teleported into the conversation.

"Ah!" I squealed as she leaned her arm on my shoulder.

"So four against one?" She asked with a devious smile.

Sora pulled me back from her as we formed sides. We stood our ground with alerted positions while she carelessly stood there with a relaxed stance.

"Hi there," Charlotte greeted us with a wave.

"If you agree to leave me and my family alone, we won't have a problem. There's no need for this, Charlotte. Move on!" I told her as my friends stood behind me and Kyo, just slightly in front.
