Infinity came back with a water bottle. He gave it to me and rested a cold flannel on my head.
"Why are you so worried about me?" I asked.
"Tst. I'm not worried. It's more concern," Infinity told me.
"What's the difference?!" I questioned.
"Being worried would imply I care whereas being concerned reflects the negative impact you're causing and instead of portraying love it displays more of an annoyance and troubling aspect which is exactly what you're causing me," Infinity lectured me.
"WORRY IS A SYNONYM FOR CONCERN!!! Uh. Why are you concerned then?" I asked.
"Because you're vulnerable. How heartless do you think I am?" He replied.
"Are you saying you actually care then?" I asked.
"We just talked about this, Luka; no I don't care. I'm concerned. Stressed. Troubled," he went on.
"Because I'm vulnerable?" I questioned.
"Yes. And being involved with me doesn't help your situation. I find myself fearing that you're in danger because of my existence. And as much as I'd love to take my own life, at last, that won't ever happen so I can't help but feel a little protective over you as the responsibility to protect you falls to me out of respect. And by that I mean no one else could protect you from what may be out to harm you. Being ill doesn't help your situation either," Infinity complained.
"You really want to die that badly?" I asked.
"Of course," he replied.
"Then why did you say that it was killing you to see me try to save you when you can't die and claim that nothing can make you feel and therefore nothing can make you feel like you're slowly dying... except by saying that, you admitted that I could..." I mumbled.
"If you're going to keep babbling then you clearly don't need looking after," Infinity grunted.
"Stop dodging the question!" I ordered.
"You dodge mine," he replied.
"You never ask questions!" I argued.
"Because I don't care," he said back.
"If you didn't care then you wouldn't be looking after me!" I added
"Oh please. We've already had this conversation, Luka. Look, I'm gonna go back to school to get Sora and Mei. You can ramble on to them, alright?" He asked.
"But... no. I don't want you to go," I mumbled.
I don't know why but... being with Infinity... it just makes me feel happy. It's... comforting for some reason. I don't want to be a bother but... I also don't want him to leave me... it's why I didn't freak out last night, even though I knew he was there. It was creepy, yes, but I couldn't help but feel like he was watching over me like some angel. And... I just felt happy because I thought for a minute that he maybe cared about me just a little...
"Well I do want to go," Infinity complained.
"You'd leave a sick person alone?!" I cried.
"Ugh. You'll be fine, Luka," Infinity moaned in annoyance.
"I'll come with you!" I suddenly cheered.
"You'll do no such thing!" Infinity replied with narrow eyes.
"G-give me a minute! I'll be ready in just a sec!" I panicked, flopping over to Infinity as I stumbled him out the room.
"Uh! Luka!" He called with frustration as he was forced to the floor, falling back outside the room from my clumsy push as I fell onto the door in an attempt to close it.
