[Wednesday]
"Infinity!!! Happy birthday!" I called, turning to Infinity as he walked past the school gates.
"Why...?!" Infinity grunted, seeing me smile like mad.
I jumped to him and handed him the wrapped present I bought yesterday.
"Again... Why...?" He questioned.
"Kyo said it was your birthday today..." I told him.
"..... what? Magic doesn't age, idiot. I don't have a birthday. Besides, do you really think that as an inhuman controlled magic I actually had the ability to even remember when I was created? I was not gifted with that ability. I simply developed myself. Besides, why would you get me something? I don't understand," he told me with his usual fixed expression.
"But... Kyo said..." I mumbled in disappointment as my hands remained to hold out the gift.
"Kyo says a lot of things. Why would you believe him?! ... again?!" Infinity ordered to know.
"B-but... Ugh. I'm sorry..." I mumbled in embarrassment.
Suddenly Kyo appeared with loads of pink bags with him...!
".... it's not my birthday!" Infinity yelled in annoyance.
"Oh, it's not? My bad. And your bags!" Kyo laughed, handing him several very obvious bags and boxes.
"The hell?! What's in these things?!" He questioned.
"Things you'll enjoy playing with~," Kyo told him with a smile.
"Well, that doesn't sound sexual at all," Infinity said sarcastically as he tumbled back and forth with all his bags.
The bell rang.
"You've got to be kidding me," Infinity grunted as he put them all down.
"Erm..." I mumbled, box still in hands.
"..." Infinity looked over at me.
"Get your money back. I don't have anything to celebrate," Infinity told him.
"B-but... I... wanted you to have it..." I mumbled with a blush across my face.
Infinity sighed before handing out his hand to accept it with a face that didn't exactly demonstrate gratitude.
"This is going to be a pain to carry around..." he grunted to himself as I ran off.
I feel so stupid. Not even his birthday... why did I even get him a gift?
After the first two classes...
Yukio walked with me outside as he grabbed a hold of my hand with a red face.
"Yukio... people will get the wrong idea If you keep holding my hand in public. You don't have to... ok?" I told him.
"But... I want them to get the wrong idea," he told me.
"Uh... w-what...?!" I asked nervously.
"I want to date you, Luka..." he told me as I stopped walking out of surprisement.
"Well? What are you waiting for? It's what you wanted, wasn't it? Say yes and get it over with already," Infinity told me through my head.
He must have been stood close by.
Infinity... oh no... why do I feel so strange? I... I don't know how to respond to Yukio. A few weeks ago I would have been thrilled to hear Yukio say that. So why... am I so hesitant all of a sudden? Could it be I'm really not interested in him anymore?
