"Infinity, please stop trying to hurt yourself!" I begged as the rain dripped down my face.
"I can't do that, Luka," he told me.
"But... you're scaring me. I'm scared for you, Infinity! Didn't you feel scared just now? If you did, then, please! Please understand how much of an impact you have on me! Stop doing these things! Because I think deep down when you're looking for a way to die, what you're really doing is looking for a way to live. I know you're capable of feeling something so please don't give up on yourself!" I begged.
"Why...? What do you see in me to be so determined?! I really don't understand humans..." Infinity grunted.
"And I don't understand you," I replied.
"Which is exactly why we shouldn't be together-"
"The difference is, I want to understand!" I interrupted him.
"No one will ever understand me... stop trying. It's slowly killing me to see you try. You're wasting your life. I've already wasted many peoples life. I don't want you to follow in the wrong footsteps and make the same mistake," Infinity told me.
"If I don't then who will?" I asked.
...
"It's getting late. You'll catch a cold if you stay out here in the rain. I'll walk you home so you don't accidentally fall over your own feet or something," Infinity told me, walking up the curved hill of the riverside.
...
"Are you just gonna sit there? Come on. You'll freeze," he told me.
I remained to stubbornly sit there on the cold stones as the rain dropped down me.
Infinity sighed as he walked back down, taking off his jacket. He threw it over me and pulled on my arm, forcing me up as he dragged me back home, hand tightening around mine...
"Uh," I gasped to see his sudden kindness.
I knew he could feel something...
Infinity walked me back and eventually headed back to his own house.
I snuck back into the house to find Sora still asleep. I gently pulled the covers over myself as I lay on the floor.
"Did he come?" A whisper asked.
"Uh! S-sora...?" I mumbled, looking at Sora who had her back to me as she 'slept'.
"Just try not to get too attached, Luka..." she mumbled.
Did she know? ... why didn't she stop me? ... I think I'll just forget this conversation happened.
The next day...
[Wednesday]
Everyone headed to school as usual. The rain had left the grass all muddy and the sky gloomy.
"Where's Luka?" Infinity asked Sora and Mei who stood at the school gate.
"Oh hey, INFINITY!!!" Sora greeted him.
".... how- .... uuugghhhh. Never mind. Where's Luka?" He repeated.
"She's sick," Sora told him.
"Wait. What do you mean she's sick?!" Infinity questioned.
"I mean she came home dripping wet last night and hasn't got out of her bed since. She's sick," Sora explained.
"Ugh. That idiot," Infinity grunted in annoyance.
"Hey, where you going?" Sora called as Infinity walked off.
"To make sure that silly girl is still in living conditions," he told them.
