Chapter 22: You can't control me

Laurie's POV:

I open the front door and my eyes widden.

Thomas.

"Surprise?" He says smiling.

I run to him and hug him.

"Toothpick! I missed you!" I squeal right next to his ear.

"Kiwi! I missed you too!" He yells back. "Jesus woman why are you so loud?" He puts me down and covers his ears. I laugh.

"It's Logan's fault." I point at Logan blaming him.

"Hey!" He pouts crossing his arms.

"Who are these lovely gentlemen?" Thomas asks looking at Corbyn, Zach, Jack, Jonah and Daniel.

"They are Jack Avery, Zach Herron, Jonah Marais, Corbyn Besson and Daniel Seavey, the Why Don't We boys. Why Don't We, this is Thomas, one of my bestfriends back in highschool." I present them to each other.

"Wait. The Daniel Seavey?" Thomas asks surprised.

"Yup." I nod.

"Hey." Daniel greets shyly.

"Hey man. Long time no see." Thomas says coldly shaking his hand.

I could feel his discomfort.

"Toothpick chill, we're friends again." I pat him on the back.

The boys look at each other confused. "Again?" Jonah asks.

I sigh. "Long story." Corbyn says. He looks at me and I nod approving him to tell my story to the other boys later on.

I turn to Thomas. "What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I thought maybe I could go for vacation and visit my best friends." He winks. I laugh.

"Alexa knew you were coming?" I ask looking at my friend.

"Yeah. Well I just told her earlier today but she knew before you." He explains.

"Oooh so that's why you were on your phone mostly the whole day. And left earlier." I cross my arms. Alexa smiles innocently.

"So where are you staying?" I ask him.

"At a friends house a few minutes from here. I think we can see his flat from here." He says gesturing the balcony. "Amazing view by the way." He walks to the balcony.

"I know right. I'm so lucky to get this place." I say.

Then I remember. "Oh Alexa! Your date! Tonight! With Dylan!" I panic.

She laughs. "I know." "You should go get ready!" I yell dramatically running across the apartment.

I hear some people laugh.

"Well we better get going. David just texted me saying we needed to be at the Why Don't We house asap." Corbyn says.

"Oh okay." I say quite disapointed. I really wanted to spend more time with them.

"Bye Laurie!" They all say.

"Bye boys!" I say back.

"Imma let you girls alone so Alexa can get ready." Logan winks.

"Same here." Thomas says getting up from the couch where he was sitting.

"Bye!" They both say and close the door behind them.

"So. It's time to get ready for the date." I say getting excited. Alexa blushes.

Alexa just left and it's 7pm. I decide to order pizza and watch Netflix.
