Chapter 37: Catching up

Laurie's POV:

I wake up to someone jumping on my bed. I groan as I stretch and yawn. Once I am sorta awake, I realise who jumped.

Alexa.

I jump out of my bed and engulf her in a big and tight hug.

"I missed you so much you have no idea." I whisper to her as I fight my urge to cry.

Yes, I am really sensitive in this kind of situation specially with people I love too much please don't judge.

"I missed you too you big baby." She soflty giggles. I sniff avoiding crying.

"Oh come on. It wasn't thaaaat long." She smiles at me.

"Well to me it's way to much time you have no idea how boring it is being alone without having you crazy other half by your side." I throw my hands in the air exagerating. Alexa rolls her eyes playfully.

"Well you weren't alone right? I mean, the Why Don't We boys spent time with you I guess. Specially Daniel." She states.

I feel butterflies in my stomach and blush after hearing Daniel's name. I don't know why but it feel like falling in love all over again. (Well fall in love, bout a hundred times a day. Kay I'll stop) Man what is so special about him?

I come back to reality as I notice Alexa wiggling her eyebrows at me and I blush harder. I can feel my face being red like a tomato.

"So. We got some catching up to do. I suppose you have quite some stuff  to tell me huh?" She teases me. "I heard rumors but I want to know everything coming from you." She scoots closer to me. I smile shyly.

I've never been really open to someone about my feelings but Alexa is my best friend and I trust her with all my heart. After all, there is nothing to hide because Daniel and I are now a couple.

A couple. The thought of us being together still blows my mind. Out of the thousands of girls in the world that want him, he chose me.

"Um hello? Earth to Laurie?" Alexa snaps her fingers in front of my face.

"Oh. Sorry. I zooned out for a second." I shake my head. "Yeah I noticed." She laughs.

"Okay so first. I forgot to tell you but... CONGRATS ON YOUR HIT SINGLE BITCH IT'S AWESOME!" She yells at the top of her lungs and I cover my ears laughing.

"Thank you love. I couldn't have done it without your support." I smile at her. "Anything for you sweatheart." She winks at me.

"It's just incredible how much success you got because of this song. And that mashup the boys did, man it turned out really good. Amazing actually." She claps.

"I know. I can't believe how many support from the dedicated fans I recieved. It's insane." I sigh happily.

"Okay well, now. I see you're not a single pringle anymore." I smile widely. "I wanna know all of the details. All of them." She states.

"Well you see, during tour we became closer and went on a few dates here and there which were really cute and since the incident with Josh, we acted more as a couple." I pause.

"Okay why didn't you tell me you went on dates??" She asks putting her hand on her chest acting like if she been hurt. "Anyways, proceed."

"It's been all good during tour and then the last show happened." I grin.

"As usual, as you know, I performed as the opening act and then watched the show from the crowd. Like I toured with them for quite some time, I knew exactly the order of the songs they perform. As the show was ending, I realised that they didn't perform Why Don't We Just which was weird." I stop a while to take my breath.

"So apparently it was the last song they were going to sing and Daniel made a beautiful speach that made me crack up. He said that the song was written about me and it was inspired of everything that happened during Idol." I grin wider.

"And to end the concert, they sang a bit of their upcoming single that is really breathtaking and by the end of it he asked me to be his girlfriend." I end blushing as I remember everything perfectly.

"Aww this is too cute." Alexa comments her mouth full of popcorn.

"Where when and how did you get that?" I ask confused as I laugh.

"I have my ways." She casually says shoving more popcorn in her mouth. I shake my head. Typical Alexa.

"Tell me. (I'll try to control myself and not 'sing' the song...) What are you doing here so early? Aren't you supposed to come back home in like one more month?" I ask her curiously.

"Well, they gave us a break because filming is going quicker than expected so as soon as they told me we have a week vacation, I quickly booked a flight to LA." She grins innocenlty.

"So I thought maybe I'd surprise you this morning and maybe you can help me out surprising Dylan this afternoon? He has no clue I am here." She shyly says. I smile at her.

"Of course I'll help. Anything for Dalexa. My fav ship." I wink at her.

I hear the doorbell ring. I start getting up to open the door but Alexa stops me. "I'll go get it." She stands up.

As she opens the front door, I hear some voices.

"Oh hey Alex! I didn't know you were here." Daniel says surprised.

"Hey Dan. Well I came to spend some time before continuing filming to surprise Laur and Dylan so yeah. By the way, your girl is in her room." Alexa says.

"Thanks A." Daniel says and I hear footsteps aproach my door. I hear it slightly open.

I sit up. "Hey Dimples." He greets leaving some plastic bags on my desk. "Hey prince charming." I groogly greet back.

"I brought you breakfast." He states taking out some food from the bags. I smile and he pecks my lips. Man I could get used to this.

"You're too good for me." I say as I hug him from behind. He chuckles. "Anything for my princess. You need to be treated like one." He kisses the top of my head and winks at me.

I feel like melting. He making me the happiest I've ever been.
