Chapter 33: Chocolate hunting

Laurie's POV:

I reach for my phone as I groan. I'm bored out of my life.

Alexa just left to the UK to shoot her movie where she is going to be the principal character.

I'm really happy for what she is acheiving in life. I can't believe she became grown-up. I feel like a proud mom.

But I'm not gonna lie, it does get pretty lonely here at home without anyone being around. And even worse if it's for four months.

I scroll through my twitter and then in Instagram liking some posts here and there until I start to feel hungry.

I'm to lazy to get up from my bed so I just plop on the floor and roll myself to the kitchen.

Once I get there I struggle to reach the fridge handle but once I do, I notice that the fridge is completely empty.

I groan.

It's been a few days since I didn't step out from my apartment and didn't have any contact with the world outside.

I haven't seen the boys in a while because they've been busy with music and stuff.

Again, I'm bored. And hungry.

I quickly unlock my phone and search for Daniel's number. I dial it. It rings three times before he picks it up.

"Hey waddup!" I hear a joyfull Daniel on the other side of the phone.

"Yo. I'm bored and hungry. And there is no food at home. Please send help." I exagerate and yell dramatically. I hear him laugh softly.

"Kay don't worry I'm on my way." He sings before ending the call and I suddenly have a smile plastered around my face.

As I wait, I stay laying on the floor, wrapped in my blanket waiting for Daniel to come for my 'rescue'.

It's a fifteen minute drive from the boys' house to here so I take a quick nap.

I wake up to someone shaking me. I groan. "What do you want." I complain my eyes still closed.

"Well if you want I can go back home if I'm bothering you."

I shoot my eyes open recognizing Daniel's voice.

"How did you get in?" I ask strechting myself.

"Well the door was unlocked so it was kinda easy to break in." He points the door. "By the way, why were you on the floor sleeping?" He laughs.

"Oh, I was just chilling until I was hungry so rolled from my room up to here because I was to lazy to get up and saw that there wasn't any food and I didn't want to go back to bed because it was too far so I just took a nap here." I explain yawning at the end.

Daniel laughs shaking his head. "You lazy butt." He comments picking me up bridal style.

I gasp putting my hand on my chest. "How dare you talk like that about my butt." I pout. He chuckles and throws me in my bed.

"Where's the food?" I ask looking if he brought something.

"Get ready. We're going grocery shopping." He says leaving my room as I nod.

We walk through Target me sitting in the cart and Daniel pushing it.

"So? What do we get? Food?" Daniel questions. "No shit Sherlock." I say making Daniel roll his eyes playfully.

"Let's go to the candy aisle!" I yell causing Daniel to laugh.

I search for some M&M's but see that there is absolutely none. I sigh. How the hell a grocery store does not have M&M's? Like, what?

Daniel noticed and just takes a random chocolate pack. "Here. There is not much difference it's chocolate afterwards." He dumps it in the cart.

I slightly open the pack and eat some of the chocolate. "Want some?" I offer him wanting to tease him. He stares at me with his 'are you serious' look.

"Oh right. Little Seavey here doesn't like any type of Chocolate." I laugh at him. "Boy you don't know what you are missing right now." I say shoving some more candy in my mouth and closing the pack.

"I am not little!" He complains. "Whatever."

We continue shopping and see a lady with a pack of M&M's in her cart. I look at Daniel and tell him to aproach her with the cart sneakily. He looks at me confused but does it anyways. I tell him quietly that it's a chocolate hunt.

As the lady leans down to grab some cheese her back facing us, I quickly stretch out my hand and steal the chocolate from her cart.

"Lets go." I mouth to Daniel as he tries to hold his laugh.

"Very clever Dimples. Very clever." He laughs.

As he says my nickname I feel butterflies in my stomach. What the hell.

"Why thank you." I say flipping my hair dramatically.

We continue 'hunting' for chocolate but also taking stuff from other carts just for fun.

I climb out of the cart as we reach check-out. Most of them have long queues so we go to the shortest one. Logical.

As we are about to pay everything, Daniel intertwines his finger with mine sending chills down my spine.

I smile but right away my smile turns into a frown as I see the cashier. Josh.

"Fancy seeing you here." He says crossing his arms.

I avoid any visual contact with him and Daniel pays without saying a word. I don't want him to pay but this isn't the right time to argue.

I take the grocery bags and start getting out. I feel Daniel's arm wrap around my waist behind my back. I grin and blush.

"Bye!" Daniel says to Josh politely before leaving Target.

We reach the car and put the groceries in the back of the car.

The ride to my home is silent with only the music playing through the speakers.

I suddenly feel Daniel's hand on my tight. I look out the window to hide my blush.

I start singing along to the song on the radio and when we reach a stoplight, I feel Daniel filming me singing.

"Nooo." I complain trying to grab his phone. "Delete iiit!" "Why?" Daniel answers calmly.

"You look beautiful and you sing like an angel. You got some talent Dimples. Don't hide it." He smiles at me brushing a strand of hair out of my face. I blush harder.

The light turns green and the rest of the ride remained silent.

Okay so I don't really know where the idea of this chapter came from but it's was entertaining writing it. And I didn't know which title to put so I just put the first thing that came to mind so yeah.
