Chapter 53: Happy Birthday

Laurie's POV:

We walk through the glass door and see everyone waiting for me, ready to sing Happy Birthday and then open the gifts.

I get closer to the table and spot two cakes: one chocolate and the other one I guess it's vanilla.

"I picked the cakes. I know you love chocolate so I had to take one and another one vanilla flavored because maybe some people don't like chocolate. Aka me." Daniel says innocently.

I peck his cheek. "You're such a goof you know that right?" I poke his cheek.

He takes out his guitar and the other Why Don't We boys approach him.

The five of them start singing harmonizing Happy Birthday and everyone else joins in. In that moment I realize that I couldn't be more grateful for life.

As they finish, everyone claps and I blow the 18 candles on the cakes, 9 on each.

Daniel wraps his arms around me. "Thank you to all of you." I saw to everyone.

"IT'S TIME TO OPEN THE GIFTS!" Allison yells excitedly.

They all bring they gifts and hand them to me one by one. I receive a lot of presents and I opened most of them except the ones from Daniel, the other Why Don't We boys, Logan and Alexa.

I start with Logan's. It's a box in which 'Careful Fragile' is written over the wrapping paper.

I make my best to open in cautiously and it reveals a professional Canon camera.

"Oh my life Logan this is amazing!" I say loudly and giving him a big hug. "Holy molly this is sooo dope." I say looking at the box.

"I know how much you love photography and you take great photos so why not buying you a new camera." He smiles, pointing his vlog camera at me, filming my reaction. "Oh god thank you so much this is awesome." I jump and give him a tight him as he carries me without effort.

I proceed with Alexa's present.

I open the small box and see a golden bracelet with half a heart. "I have the other half." She smiles innocently. I see inside the box and see a VIP ticket for the Bruno Mars concert. I stare at her blankly. She stops me and points back to the little box, to reveal eight boarding passes to London.

"Oh my god no you didn't." I hug her tightly. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank youuuu." I hug her jumping at the same time.

"You're welcome you're welcome you're welcome you're welcome you're welcomeeeee." She laughs.

"There are eight because I plan on taking you, the WDW boys and Dylan to London for the concert and to show you around." She tells them.

Apparently it's a surprise to them too because they all thank her with surprise and they jump of excitement.

After thanking Alexa over and over again, I continue unwrapping the last presents.

"Laurie, this is from the five of us, mostly from the four of us because Daniel got stuff for you but this is for your birthday but also to thank you for being such and amazing person towards us, such a good sister and to congratulate you for how far you've gone." Corbyn says.

"Also because we love you mama Kiwi!" Zach yells from behind the boys, jumping to have a look.

"Aww thank you boys. My sweet little children. I love you all too." I open my arms to hug them but Jack interrupts me.

"Wait! You didn't open the gift yet!" He states.

I roll my eyes playfully and see Jonah bringing a beautiful black guitar, with their initials graved on it and my name as well, but bigger.

"We know how much your previous guitar meant for you before it got destroyed during tour so we decided to get you another one with which you'll be able to create and live new experiences." Corbyn explains.

"Guys this is beautiful! Thank you so much!" I hug them all but see that Daniel is missing.

"Wow this guitar is incredible." I state, sliding my hand on the wooden instrument, on top of 'Laurie Humbert' graved at the side and 'DS, CB, ZH, JM, JA' graved below it.

"Oh and also here's some new Why Don't We merch that hasn't been released yet." Jack throws a bag to me. I have bad reflexes so I receive the bag right on my face.

"Wow thank you." I laugh, rubbing my nose because of the impact.

I open the bag and see numerous clothing and one catches my eye.

"This one is specifically personalized for you." Jonah says as I unfold the sweater in which 'Daurie', the date when we became a couple and a '1/2'. I smile and laugh slightly. These goofs.

"Thank you boys again." I say giving them a group hug.

I hear someone stumble on the wall and turn around to see Daniel smiling innocently showing his cute tooth gap, carrying a huge box. And wearing the matching Daurie sweater I just received.

"Um, can someone help me please?" He chuckles.
