Chapter 24: What are you doing here?

Laurie's POV:

"Hey Thomas." I respond.

"Hey." There's an awkward silence.

"Umm sorry I called the wrong number sorry to bother you." I say trying to break the silence and trying to quickly end the conversation.

"It's fine. I was about to call you anyways. You didn't answer ten minutes ago." He says. I check the list of calls I received and see Thomas did try to call me.

"Sorry I was eating breakfast with Alexa. What were you calling for?" I ask.

"Oh I was going to ask you if I could pass by your apartment you know, to hang out or something like that." He says.

"Thomas, I told you yesterday I am going to hang out with Logan and the Why Don't We boys." I silently sigh.

"I know but I thought maybe we could hang out before you go with them. I suppose you're still home right?" He asks.

"Yes I am but I'm heading out soon what if we hang out tomorrow?" I suggest. The truth is I am not really going out right now. The boys are going to pick me up at 1 maybe 12:30 and it's right now 10 am but still I'm not in the mood to talk to him. And I'm still in pjs.

"Well too late. I'm already at your front door. Would you mind opening it please?" He asks as he ends the call.

I sigh and get out of my room. Didn't he understand I'm going to be busy?

I open the door and see Thomas standing there smiling. He has a nice smile but not as beautiful as Daniel's. "Hey Kiwi."

"Hey Tom. What are you doing here?" I say hugging him. I'm still kind of mad at him but he's still my friend.

"Maybe spend time with my best friend and catch up with stuff?" He responds. I nod.

"So what do you wanna do? Just remember I should be out at 12:30." I state. He nods. "Wanna watch a movie?" I suggest. He nods again.

We sit on the couch in the living room in front of the TV. I turn it on and search in Netflix some movies. None of them catch my attention so I decide to watch Riverdale. I stay with my pjs because I am too lazy to get changed and I'm comfortable around Thomas.

"Sorry if I fangirl over Riverdale it's just that I love this series. So don't judge." I warn him playfully.

He laughs. "It's fine. I've never and will never judge you." He winks at me.

What he just said made me think about Daniel. When I was about to make them listen to my song he told me the exact same thing.

This time I felt normal, I didn't feel anything when Thomas told me that. But when Daniel did, I felt my stomach flip, it made me blush. There's just something special about Daniel that other boys don't have.

I realize I start daydreaming. I see Thomas' fingers snap in from of my face. "You alright? You zoomed out for a second." He states. "Oh um yeah I'm fine I was just thinking." "About?"

"Stuff going on through life." He nods.

We watch Riverdale in silence until Thomas speaks up.

"Look Laurie I'm sorry if I'm acting overprotective about you hanging out with Daniel it's just..." He pauses. "It's just?" I ask.

There was a moment of silence.

"It's just that-" He gets cut off by Alexa coming out of her room.

"And I'm ready!" She exclaims. "Oh hey Thomas." She greets him giving him a hug. "Hey Alex." He greets her back.

"Was I interrupting anything?" She asks concerned. "No it's fine." I smile at her. I really wanted to know what Thomas was going to tell me but I try and shrug it off.

"Oh okay. I just realized that I need a ride going to the audition I won't be bringing my car because I'll go walking after to eat lunch with Dyl and he'll drop me off home. Can you drop me off please?" She asks me.

"Well I have to go to the mall and get ready so maybe Thomas can right?" I look up to him.

"Could you?" Alexa asks him.

"Can't you go on a uber?" He asks politely. "Yeah but I don't know I don't feel like going on a uber." She says.

"Okay fine. At what time you have to go?" He asks her with a bit of annoyance on his voice.

"Well we need to go right now or I'll miss the audition." She replies looking at the time on the phone.

"Okay let's go then." He sighs grabbing his car keys from his pocket.

"Bye Kiwi." Alexa says hugging me. I hug her back. "See ya. Good luck. I know you'll make it." I wink at her.

"Bye Thomas." I hug him. "I'll text you later okay? Bye Kiwi." He says back.

"Okay." I wave at them.

Thomas was acting weird. What's up with him.

A/N:
Guys I'm literally crying I just heard their new song "Invitation" and OH GOD I LOVE IT SO MUCH guys I was waiting until the 27th for the EP to come out but when "Invitation" (the song) came out, it really took me by surprise. I'm so happy right now and smiling like an idiot okay bye.
