Chapter 58: Come with me

Laurie's POV:

I look behind me and see that Daniel is on his phone, not noticing that Thomas is here.

"Seriously what are you doing here." I whisper, not wanting Daniel to get mad once he finds out Thomas is here.

He pulls my arm. "What are you doing?" I whisper, a little louder.

"Come please. I want to show you something. And talk to you." He insists.

"Sorry but no. As you know most of the people here don't like you and don't want me to get near you. I don't want you getting in trouble or me. Plus, I'm about to go to sleep." I explain.

"And Daniel is-" I turn around to take a glance at my boyfriend and see him asleep. Well that was fast. I smile to myself.

"Asleep?" He ends my sentence.

"Come on. Now it's the opportunity. Come with me." Thomas insists once again.

"Thomas I can't. I-" I get cut off and dragged out of my room. "Thomas!" I whisper/yell.

"I can't just leave like that." I protest.

"It's quick. I swear." He smiles. I roll my eyes. "You're not going to give up are you?" I sigh. He shakes his head.

"I'm in pjs." I point at my onesie. "I have clothes in the car. I have everything planned."

"I thought you said it was going to be quick." I look confused.

"Oops?" He chuckles. "Thomas I swear." I sigh. "Tomorrow I'm waking up early." I complain.

"You can take a nap in the car." He suggests.

He opens the passenger seat and I get inside. I have no choice. I look around kind of worried of what is going to happen next.

Thomas gets in the driver's seat. "Kiwi don't worry I won't do anything bad to you." He chuckles. "Trust me."

I stare at him. "At this point it's kind of hard to know if I can really trust you." I blurt out quietly.

He glances at me, and then starts the car to drive off.

Oh god.

We drive for a good amount of time before arrive to our destination. Apparently it's just outside London.

"What are we doing here?" I question.

"You'll see."

We walk for a good amount of time before arriving to a small fireplace.

He sits on the blanket that is set and invites me to sit as well.

"This place is beautiful." I mention, looking around and at the sky, with shining stars.

We stay a good amount of time staring at the sky but the Thomas breaks the silence.

"Are you happy?" He asks.

"What do you mean?" I look at him, trying to decipher what he meant.

"Are you happy with life? With him?" He asks again, I'm guessing he is asking about Daniel.

"I've never been happier before. Being with him makes me the happiest I've ever been." I confess. "I've accomplished so much until now, and I couldn't be any joyful about it." I smile.

He nods. "Why are you asking me this?" I ask, quietly.

He sighs. "All I want for you is to be happy in your life. If you are, then so am I." He stares into my eyes. I nod.

We stare at each other for a few seconds and see that he starts leaning in.

A few inches before touching my lips, I move away.

"What are you doing?" I pull away, a slight bit angry.

"Sorry, I thought-" "Save it. I was willing to give you a second chance, to remain friends, but see, this is why I can't trust you 100%." I pause. He doesn't say anything.

"I thought maybe-" "Maybe what? Maybe you could just kiss me like that? Thomas, please understand that I am in a happy relationship that I am fully truthful to. Don't think that a simple apology will just fix things like that." I pause again.

"So this is why you wanted to bring me here? Not to fully apologize but to try and kiss me? To forget about Daniel? Thomas, please, leave my personal life. Stop coming in between mine and Daniel's relationship. Please. You can't change the fact that I love him." He is about to say something but a shadow appears behind him.

The shadow pushes Thomas away and comes to me, scaring me.

He comes closer and I recognize the face. I jump in his arms.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just left like that. I'm sorry I'm sorry." I apologize, fearing that he gets mad.

"Don't worry Dimples. I heard everything. And you know what?" He says, hugging me tight.

"I love you too." Daniel leans in, filling the empty space between our lips, causing me to smile.
